FriendRaterOnline.com is a dangerous site to visit because doing anything on FriendRaterOnline will either cost you money or get your MySpace account deleted. Here’s why FriendRaterOnline.com is a bad neighborhood…

First, FriendRaterOnline is not a site where someone has rated you, despite whatever the fake MySpace bulletin you received said. It’s yet another in a seemingly endless series of ringtone offer scams that have been plaguing MySpace for weeks.

This one’s a little different because they try to trick you upfront into entering your cell phone number to get access to the nonexistent friend rater profile system.

Then, if you don’t buy into their first ringtones offer, they tell you that you have won three free ringtones and have a chance to win a $5,000 cash prize, but only if you act now:

Second, if you enter your email address and password at this site, it will automatically login to MySpace and send the fake email bulletin to all your friends. And what does MySpace do about these ringtones spam bulletins?

They delete the accounts of people who have sent them! Tens of thousands of people have had their profiles deleted over this which just sucks because they are victims, not perpetrators.

What site supposedly under construction makes it into the top 15,000 most heavily trafficked websites in the world?

We’ve even published their affiliate IDs with their two ringtones suppliers, Ringtone.net (aka Ringtone.com) and QualityRingtones.com along with the contact information for those companies.

Does MySpace do anything about it? No they don’t! They’ll just delete your MySpace account and consider the problem solved… Ouch!

Here are the last dozen warnings on these ringtones scam sites:

They launch new sites every time one gets blocked at MySpace. Again, each site is only a phony front end to the master website hosted at BestUnbeatableOffers.com, like the others previously were at CoolStuff2See.com.

Do yourself and your friends a big favor and avoid ringtone scam sites like FriendRaterOnline.com!
