17-year old Romanian tennis player Simona Halep’s breast reduction decision saddened male tennis fans everywhere who flocked to see the “next Anna Kournikova” play.
Simona Halep told reporters, “This fall I’ll have a breast reduction operation.”
“The breasts make me uncomfortable when I play. It’s the weight that troubles me – my ability to react quickly.”
Simona Halep is now ranked 264th in the world and won several junior titles last year, finishing second in the prestigious French Open.
Halep also was a finalist in the junior French Open last year, an event won back in the day by Anna Kournikova, which led to a legion of male fans watching her play.
