24 Season 8 Cast Changes – The cast of “24″ has many changes for Season 8, including Freddy Prinze Jr. as Davis Cole, CTU’s new head of Field Ops, and Katie Sackhoff as Dana Walsh, a data analyst in the New York field office of CTU.
The 24 Season 8 cast changes reflect the resurrection of CTU and the need for more realistic backup support for Jack Bauer’s eighth crisis intervention day.
In addition to the move to New York, CTU is reborn under the leadership of a new, yet-to-be-cast male character by the name of Brian Hastings, with Chloe O’Brian returning to support Jack.
Season 8 of 24 revolves around an assassination attempt in New York against visiting foreign leader Arman Hashemi, a Middle Eastern leader on a peacemaking mission at the U.N., played by Anil Kapoor of Slumdog Millionaire fame.
Jennifer Westfeldt has a role as journalist Meredith Reed, who has close ties to diplomatic leader Hashemi and Chris Diamantopoulos plays Rob Weiss, President Taylor’s new chief of staff.
Annie Wersching reprises her role as FBI agent Renee Walker on 24, marking a rare returning heroine and possible Season 8 love interest.
Production on Season 8 of 24 is now underway with the show still primarily shot on sets in Los Angeles, with some NY location footage mixed in.

At least they ditched Garafalo, she was unbearable to watch.
I was so waiting for her to be shot in the head. Thankfully, she will not be returning, she almost killed season 7 for me.
