Ryan Reynolds Is Green Lantern – Mr. Scarlett Johansson, aka Ryan Reynolds, has been cast as the Green Lantern in another superhero film due out in 2010.

After a five-month search that inculded multiple screentests, Reynolds snagged the role of the Green Lantern over the likes of Justin Timberlake and Bradley Cooper (currently starring in “The Hangover”).

Sure, Ryan played Deadpool in the latest X-Men flick and has abs to die for, which should increase female interest in the flick, but his acting chops are less than stellar as he always seems to be playing the same personality – a wise-cracking, well-intentioned, fellow with a pleasant smile on his face.
Should the role of Hal Jordan, the former fighter pilot who gets enlisted into an interstellar peacekeeping corps and protects Earth from enemies at home and abroad as Green Lantern, have gone to Ryan Reynolds?
Or, maybe someone with more acting chops like Nathan Fillion who could have crushed the superhero role.
What do you think?

Is there maybe some sort of two-for-one deal going on behind the scenes where possibly the well endowed Scarlett Johansson will agree to play Wonder Woman?
And that’s the buzz on Ryan Reynolds Is Green Lantern.

Wouldn’t go see it unless they sex it up a little bit. GL isn’t a dark, troubled character – he’s a goody two shoes, Casper Milquetoast kind of guy.
Maybe if GL was up against a band of hot female ninja assassins who dance in strip clubs when they aren’t out killing people…

Hi brothers and sisters! Just wanted to say that Green Lantern comics are boring as hell! This thing will be a flop like The Punisher and The Avenger…

this really aint fair the green lantern was a black guy in the books and now u givin it to some Ryan Reynolds (no disrespect to Mr Reynolds) but if its going to just like the books then in almost all the cartoons he was a black guy this is not right and i think something needs to be done about this why is it that all super heros has to be white there weren’t many black super heros and now there taking another it seems as if every movie that from D C comics they change the black superhero to white superheros the only black superhero that D C kept was steel which was played by shaq so this is a discredit to the comic lovers and to the black race and me my self im going to see if i cant get the NAACP to look in to this matter. No Thinks to D.C comics.
