Dwayne Wade divorce news is true – Dwayne Wade is divorcing his wife Siovaughn with actress Gabrielle Union starring in the Dwayne Wade divorce other woman role.
Siohvaughn Wade, aka Siohvaughn Funches after the Dwayne Wade divorce goes through, returned to Chicago shortly after the birth of their second child, Zion, because she “needed help with raising the kids” and has refused to return to Miami ever since.

September 18, 2007. Last week it was Shaq’s marriage, now it looks like his Miami Heat teammate Dwayne Wade’s marriage may be in trouble. MediaTakeOut.com reports that Dwayne Wade and his wife Siohvaughn are “unofficially separated.”
According to one of Siohvaughn’s close friends, the young mother of 2 and her NBA husband have decided to step back and take a break in the marriage. The friend told MediaTakeOut.com, “They’ve been together for a long time and I think Dwayne was starting to feel like he needed some space … They decided that it’s best to give him that space.”
Dwyane Wade and Siohvaughn Funches have known each other since attending the same high school. They dated exclusively and lived together during college. They married 5 years ago, while Dwyane was a college senior. They have two children who will stay with Siohvaughn.
Dwayne Wade has a reputation as serious player, both on the court and off, and his divorce closely follows that of Miami Heat star, Shaquille O’Neal.

The 2006 reports have Gabrielle Union hooking back up with her highschool sweetheart, basketball star Jason Kidd. According to the report, they met up in 2006 in Atlantic City and reminisced about their high school days.
They dated heavily and then Kidd reportedly dumped her and went on to marry his soon to be ex-wife Joumana Kidd. Gabrielle says about being being dumped:

I feel sorry for both D & Sio. D-Wade is an upright young man with a bright future. It’s disappointing to see anyone get a divorce today, much more a person in the spotlight who’s viewed as a positive figure or role model. A lot of people didn’t see this one coming, because of the perception of Dwyane. We all want to believe one thing when in reality, we don’t know what was going on in his house w/ his wife or w/ his life as an individual. All I have to say is: No one knows what goes on in a house, except for the people who live there.
We all make decisions for ourselves based on what we feel is right at the time depending on our situations and the circumstances surrounding them. This man is no more God than any of us, so why are so many of us expecting him to be perfect.
That said, however I do not agree with anyone leaving their home just for a piece of a**. I may not believe in love or monogamy, but I believe in respect and responsibility. The commitment (in my eyes) is not to his wife, but to his “family.” If all this is just a fling, he should not leave his home for her. But if it is love, then go for it I guess (never been in love, don’t know what that’s like).
However, I was married for almost 9 years, so I like to think that I can speak with a little experience.

First off I wanna say that I am here to defend D. I played college ball w/ D for 3 yrs at MU. There is no way that any of this bs that the media tries to get you to beleive is true. The media does do a damn good job persuading half of you ignorant, close minded, idiots into beleiving whatever they print or publish. This is just another classical example of what happens when you make it to the top. Ppl are gonna do whatever they can to tear you down. No one know genuinely wants to see someone else suceed and live they life in peace. In D’s case I’m sure this wont be the last time that this will happen. It comes w/ the territory of being a young, rich and successful athlete. Its unfortunate that all athletes get stuck w/ the label of being “playaz” or “womanizers”….but its not true in all situations. In the case of D, I can back him up that he wouldn’t leave his wife and ruin his family for some woman who is of Union’s caliber. Everyone does things that they shouldnt do… face it.. thats life. I’ve known D for 8 yrs now and beleive me he is a good family man, husband, father and friend. It is odd how everyone wants to put down someone for doing what they want. It is human to make mistakes and who can say this is the time for them to settle down. None of us know what goes on behind close doors and no one is saying what DW’s wife is doing. Its funny that everyone likes to judge situations. Wedding vows are sacred, Im not going to argue that point. But how many people are actually getting divorces or separating now a days? Exactly… most people get married for the wrong reasons period. He is just someone among the rich and now famous.
Wade wasnt always in the lime light and his wife wasnt in the position she in right now either (they way she look now, how she living, etc) They went to highschool together yeah, but even then dont nobody know. Come on now. People change as they grow older. He changed and im sure she has too. And apparently they grew apart.
Everybody want to say she was there when he didnt have nothing. He was the one on the court bussing his ass to make it to the NBA. Miami Heat guard Dwyane Wade’s divorce from wife Siohvaughn, his high school sweetheart. In legal papers, she alleges he abandoned his children, committed adultery, and infected her with an unspecified sexually transmitted disease. She wants the names of ”all of his sexual partners” during their six-year marriage.
Dwyane petitioned for the divorce last May in Cook County, Ill. They wed in Chicago on May 18, 2002.
Dwyane’s Windy City attorney, James Pritikin, issued a statement: “These malicious allegations are absolutely false and we look forward to the opportunity to dispute them in court.”
Dwyane turns 27 on Saturday. He and Siohvaughn, 27, have two boys, Zaire, a first-grader who will be 7 next month, and Zion, 1. Siohvaughn moved back to Chicago with the kids last year.
Dwyane’s Heat salary is $14,410,581, according to published reports. He hauls in millions more from major endorsements such as Gatorade and Converse. He has a dozen vehicles, including four Cadillacs, four Mercedes-Benzes and a Maybach, court papers say.
The All-Star has been romantically linked to actress Gabrielle Union, 36, once married to former Jacksonville Jaguar Chris Howard.
From Siohvaughn’s pleading: “Dwyane has dissipated substantial sums of marital property including . . . buying his mother a $2 million church; placing substantial sums of money in an account with another woman; providing numerous friends and family members with unfettered access to accounts with hundreds of thousands of dollars of marital funds from which they made substantial withdrawals . . .”
Meanwhile, she says, he cut her off financially.
Dwyane, named a ”Father of the Year” in 2007 by the National Father’s Day Committee, has gone ”months” without seeing his boys, Siohvaughn says. His ”failure to spend time with them . . . has resulted in the children at times being afraid of him; in fact, Zion . . . does not recognize or know Dwyane.” She wants sole custody, and support.
She also says she has suffered ”grievous physical, emotional and mental injury” from the STD, diagnosed in the fall of ’07. (The infection is not HIV or a ”killer thing,” sources say.) Dwyane and his ”paramour or paramours” are liable, she alleges.
‘Dwyane must disclose the identity of all of his sexual partners during the parties’ marriage,” says her counter-petition, prepared by attorney Michael J. Berger of Chicago. Siohvaughn has another Chicago lawyer, Dorene Marcus.
Says Pritikin: “It is sad that an obviously angry and bitter woman will go to any lengths to publicly damage Mr. Wade.”
Siohvaughn speaks the truth, Marcus insists. ”A person’s public persona does not necessarily reflect his behavior in private,” Marcus adds. “Mrs. Wade is prepared to prove everything she alleges. And, medical records don’t lie.”
In 2007, the Wades put their six-bedroom Pinecrest home on the market for $8.9 million. Has yet to sell. List price is now $4.599 million.

Guys, I’ve read all the comments. Most are untrue, few are close to true. Dwayne was a family man before he got under Shaq’s influence. I live in the Miami area and attend some of the same parties. My best friend’s husband is a baller. I won’t say which because then anyone who goes to these parties will know wrote this. However, there are some who try to be discrete and some who are plain cheaters and act like their wives should be grateful to be with them bcuz they can always get the next hot chick. Some of my friends who are professionals quit their jobs and travel with their husbands. An athlete’s wife is a very tough job. It robs you of your security especially if your husband has a wandering eye. The first time I saw them together in Fort Lauderdale at a white party a friend was having for her husband, where Shaq, Pat Riley, Wade & everyone in the local sports and entertainment industry came to. It was a white party. They appeared to be so happy and he apapeared to be so into his wife. About a year later my friend said Wade seems to be changing. Vaun & Wade weren’t in the limelight enough for her to build her confidence to call him on his new found bull s**t. They went to the Allstar Game & my friend’s husband & Shaq & Wade were just giggly and looking up in the stands. Later when my friend’s husband looked up in the stands & commented that Wade & Shaq were gonna have a great game. Her eyes followed them to the two white girls who looked rather familiar. That’s when he confided in her that they were taken care of by their “freaky friends”. I was just so dam disgusted I wanted to puke. I had come to respect him. Shaq claimed that he was “schooling” Wade on the ways of the league and managing his “brand”. Apparently he only schooled him into being a dog just like him. Wade looked up to Shaq. No wonder Shanise started hoarding cash after Shaq was buying his whores all types of expensive cars. The only person I know in the athletic industry who is strong enough to stand up to their husband is Alonzo Mourning’s wife, Tracy Mourning and my best friend. Yet I hear the rumours and without evidence, I wait for the shoe to drop. It is such a shame because when these folks all get together outside of their various sporting events they all act so loving just chilling at a football game on the weekend or a lamb roast etc. Don’t believe what you hear. Wade became a dog a while ago. He unfortunately learned the loose dog behaviour from Shaq and forgot the sacrifices of the little girl he met in high school when he wasn’t even getting much play time until his junior year, she supported him. Periodically a host will dictate the colors of the guests. In this case, it was white. Also Shaunie was misspelt as Shaunise. Nevertheless Shaq and her are working things out while Wade’s young marriage is destroyed. Tracy Mourning seems to be one of the most confident and keeps Zo in line. Even more so since he became ill and had to have surgery. In fairness Zo seems to be more grateful, understanding and humbled by the situation. Additionally, Tracy is very secure and that shows in her home. I would encourage any young couple just entering the business, to stay away from the known dogs. Ballers’ wives should ignore the football, baseball, basketball wives cliques. Many times wives in the same wives’ clubs of their husband’s sport don’t want to rock the boat of the status quo so they won’t tell what they know. Most wives know of the other guys cheating and naively believe their husband is one of the few who are faithful. These men tell their wives what other guys do on the tour to endear themselves to their wives in an attempt to gain and regain trust. However, if the women honestly engage wives of another sport who isn’t afraid of rocking the club, they will learn early on what their husbands are up to. These guys brag a lot amongst themselves across sports and are too happy to go home and tell their wives how bad the Ballers from other sports are. These guys operate on the premise of secrecy. The wives from other sport leagues are more willing to bust!

It saddens me to hear this about dwade. To me he is not only a talented athlete he is a great person. But truthfully, I used to wonder could he really be a great father and husband?? Fame changes people and not always for the better. He probably got married too young, but he should realize she was there before the NBA was.
