Miley Cyrus Tour Bus Crash – One bus in the Miley Cyrus tour bus caravan went off the side of I-85 and the driver was killed in the crash.

The tour bus – one of four enroute from New York to North Carolina – went off the road at 8:15 a.m., killing bus driver William G. Douglas, 53, of Austin, Texas.
Nine members of Miley Cyrus’ production crew were riding in the bus and they escaped the crashed bus through the front windshield.

Miley Cyrus was not on any of the four tour buses in the caravan heading to Greensboro, N.C., where she is scheduled to perform Sunday, after doing shows in New York on Wednesday and Thursday.

The Cyrus family wrote a message on the Disney starlet’s Web site, expressing their condolences.
“We are deeply saddened by the loss of Bill “Uncle Bill” Douglas. Members of our tour are like members of our family,” the message read.
“Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family in the midst of this tragedy. He will truly be missed,” it finished.
