Tase The Baby! – A Florida man about to be arrested got in more trouble by holding up an infant at sheriff’s deputies ordered to Taser him and yelling, “Tase the baby!”
Jorge Garcia was arrested early Friday in DeBary, between Daytona Beach and Orlando, and charged with child neglect and resisting an officer.
Deputies breaking up a fight made a traffic stop when they received a report of a weapon in a vehicle driven by Garcia.
He was swearing and “acting in an irrational manner,” according to the arrest report, and that was before he told the officers what to do with their Tasers.
When he was told he was being arrested, Garcia dove into the back seat of his car and refused to come out, deputies said.
When deputies threatened to use a Taser on him, he finally got out, but grabbed a baby from the back seat and held him in front of his body, according to the report.
After the baby was removed unharmed from Garcia’s arms, deputies said he resisted them as they tried to put handcuffs on him.
Two deputies shocked him with their Tasers after which he complied with their commands and allowed them to handcuff him, the arrest report said.
