Golden Globe Attendees Get Free Pig – Celebrity guests at the 2010 Golden Globe Awards were given free micro-pigs, also known as teacup pigs.

Golden Globe attendees get free pig

Attendees at the prestigious Golden Globes Awards ceremony last night found vouchers in their goodie bags for the new must-have pet, a miniature pig.

However, the celebrities must attend a class about how to look after the tiny animals before they get their free teacup pigs.

Usually the miniature farmyard animals cost £3,000 to buy, with celebrity fans including Victoria and David Beckham and socialite Paris Hilton, however company Patty’s Royal Dandie Miniature Pet Pig offered the pigs free of charge.

Previously animal rights charity PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) has expressed its opposition to the pigs being kept as pets, claiming Paris Hilton was setting a “wretched example” to her fans by adopting one.

However the company’s owner Patty Morrisroe insists Paris is a good pet owner.

She revealed: “As soon as we took the pig to Paris they bonded. It was an instant thing.”

In addition to the vouchers for the free mini-pig, guests were given thousands of dollars worth of other goodies in their free designer bags.

And that’s the buzz at HitsUSA about Golden Globe Attendees Get Free Pig.
