It was offensive, get over it. You don’t have to be an indian killer or white supremacist to be offended by those comments. The remarks were made purely to shore up sagging ratings in the wake of Rosie’s departure. They should have hired Jerry Springer or Geraldo or instead. Better yet, do us all a favor and cancel the show.

i agree with clare’s comments, especially concerning the oh so SELCTIVE rhetoric that spews from most christian conservatives.

folks like ruth & benji probably yearn for the days of segregation as well, when everyone “knew their place”.

Oh please…I am so sick of being hit over the head by Christians and Conservatives and their selective rhetoric. If you really walked your talk, you would never have watched the VIEW at all! And you missed bashing Oprah yesterday for asking her guest “which hole” they made love at on the golf course outside their backyard at night since you love television so much.

It amazes me how those brainwashed by the Old Testament can’t seem to remember in the New Testament Jesus lovingly reminds us all we are NOT to judge ANYONE. There is only ONE judge…

Our Founding Fathers??? Really? One Nation Under God and Jena 6 Too???

Did you know that of these United States Minnesota, South Dakota and Nevada do NOT recognize “Columbus Day”? In 1992, the United Nations and the National Council of Churches called on not only Christians but all people to refrain from celebrating Columbus.

Please help me remind the world that October 12th is really the “International Day of Solidarity With Indigenous People” because 150 years after Columbus came to the Americas in what was explained to us as children in textbooks and classrooms as a day that represented newness of freedom, hope and opportunity for the Europeans really brought about the end of the lives of some 85% of the millions of Native Americans from disease, oppression, degradation and genocide.

Turn off your TV, push yourself away from the keyboard and go spread some LIGHT and LOVE around the world.

God destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah because of homosexuality and sexual pervasiveness.

Here we have nationally recognized figures like Whoopi and Barbara talking in view of families and our children, about invading a marriage to have threesomes, and think its funny.

Immoralities in this country are slowly threatening to one day turn this nation into a Sodom or Gomorrah, where a family, as God ordained, will be past tense, or a thing of rarity.

I am a conservative and definitely not an admirer of Mrs. Pelosi and her policies, however I must agree with Ruth. The comments by Barbara Walters and Whoopi Goldberg were crude and showed a definite lack of class. Unfortunately, the “liberal” media continues to use such extreme measures of attracting attention and manipulating issues using freedom of speech as their “excuse”. It is sad that the freedoms our Founding Fathers intended are subjected to such abuse. God help us all.

She had some good advice Elisabeth. You do seem out of place with that group.

I think what Barbara Walters and Whoopi said about Nancy Pelosi and her husband was absolutely disgusting and not remotely funny. I am no fan of Nancy Pelosi but I would certainly show a lot more respect for her and her husband. Frankly, I was shocked at what they said. The show is making me sick of late and the only one with any class is Elisabeth. Take a walk Elisabeth – you can do much better than the view.
