If “poor judgement” has now become sole justification for losing your public job, then many teachers and pretty much all politicians will be out. If this young lady is fired for being a “bad example” to our young people, then any teacher who takes a drink of alcohol, drives over the speed limit or smokes a cigarette should be fired. How could they possibly teach the innocent minds of our children if they so flagrantly disobey laws or disrespect their bodies in such a foul and dispicable manor?

Personally, I would prefer a person teaching my child who is a little more open minded than many of the hypocrites who are ready to burn this young teacher at the stake. They stand on the pulpit of Christianity and morality, but they forget the most important lessons of Christ: forgiveness and love.

And yes, myspace.com is PG-rated; it’s initial target audience was supposed to be the under 18 set. Now porn-spammers and pedophiles abound at that website. It’s also a wonder how they let crappy, psuedo-porn pages like that remain online there, yet they shut down other myspace pages that critique important political or social issues, of which we should all be paying attention to, instead of thinking with the brain-less “head” located below men’s beltlines.

It’s obvious, that not only have our government institutions become severely corrupted by sick perverts and criminals, but our media has also been contaminated by the same. Time to wake up and weed out the neanderthal-minded scum in the U.S., the ones who think primarily with their sex organs, and start to re-establish common decency and common sense in Our Nation.

By the way, if this woman wants to strip, or literally whore herself out, let her do so off of the public dole.

Especially since she *could* have made her profile private, and enjoyed her adult life away from potentially prying eyes. Why did she choose My Space as a venue, anyway? Everyone associates My Space with kids…she could have easily done these activities on a more appropriate site.

I’m not judging her for being topless or sexy, I’m judging her for being a simple-minded fool. What she did was just plain dumb. I know not to do what she did, and I don’t even have my teaching licence yet.

But mostly I agree that this is shotty journalism and seems to be being sensationalized by WVLT, so I canceled my advertising in protest. My ad budget with them is small so it probably won’t matter.

I don’t know any of the parties involved, I just thought I don’t want my money supporting a news department that would sensationalize something so stupid.

I figure it must have been a slow news day so this looked good (sex is always good for ratings).

There should be a clearly definable line between my work and my private life. If my work governs even my private life how private is it? Where is freedom in that? Everyone here has the right to their opinions, its in the Bill of Rights. So is her right to express herself without fear of reprisal so long as its legal. That she is a school teacher shouldn’t remove that right. Had the ex not sent the URL to the Administrators how many people from that school would have seen them? Had the school not sent a letter home with all the students practically NONE of the parents would have ever seen them.

Mmmmmm…she posted pictures of herself on the Internet in hopes that people would look at them. When you post pictures of yourself on the Internet in hopes that people will look at them, you pretty well give up any claim that what you are doing is “private.”

Parents today think their brats are so wholesome… The wholesome brats aren’t so sweet when mommy and daddy aren’t around! Listen to their conversations – the language(!) and topics(!)

Give me a flippin’ break, and get a grip! What teachers do on their own time, is THEIR business. They should earn millions for putting up with YOUR brats all freaking day!
