Like Oral Roberts, my husband James C. Padilla died on Tues. 12-15-2009. He also had the pneumonia.
The bible says in; 2 Tim. 2:3 ~ You therefore must endure hardship as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.
I opened a “James C. Padilla Memorial Fund”. If you would like to help, mail any gifts to: Wells Fargo Bank, 5601 S. Broadway, Littleton, CO. 80121-8010. it’s in my name – Tandi D. Padilla. James died at 47 yrs of age. He left behind a wife and 15 year old daughter.

Diane Wright wrote a letter to the Denver Post. Her dad witnessed what really went on at Oral Robert’s Healings when he was a cop working extra duty at the old City Auditorium. He witnessed phony people who were “”pretending that they were disabled drop their crutches and walk off the stage after Roberts’ “healing prayers.””

It’s been 1 year since I got laid off from Marilyn Hickey Ministries, on Nov. 7, 2008. Since then, my townhouse is in Foreclosure and going up for sale on Nov. 18. 2009 in Littleton, CO. – thanks to our FHA loan through Colorado Housing and Finance Authority. My husband James, is at: University of Colorado Hospital in ICU with Influenza. Through it all I’ve learned to Cling to God!!!!! How can we choose life and blessing instead of death and cursing??? As God’s Word says in – Deut. 30:19-20
I call heaven and earth as witnesses today against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing; therefore choose life, that both you and your descendants may live; that you may love the LORD your God, that you may obey His voice and that you may cling to Him; for He is your life and the length of your days………..Amen!!

Since I’ve gotten laid off from the Prayer Center at Marilyn Hickey Ministries last Nov. 07, 2008, God has shown me me that out of the Valley of Achor (which means trouble) God will give me a door of hope. As His Word says in: HOS. 2:14-15 – Therefore, behold, I will allure her, Will bring her into the wilderness, And speak comfort to her. I will give her her vineyards from there, And the Valley of Achor as a door of hope; She shall sing there, As in the days of her youth, As in the day when she came up from the land of Egypt.

Like the Oral Roberts Scandal, Marilyn Hickey Ministries has quite an Uproar over the 40-45 employees that were laid off last Nov. 2008 in Denver, Colorado. While the Ministry continues to prosper, 50% of their employees have been able to find work, the other 50% haven’t. Please keep us in your prayers.

Since getting laid off on Nov. 07, 2008 from Marilyn Hickey Ministries. I’ve applied at several or more call centers, with the economy being the way it is, and with Marilyn Hickey Ministries being a Non-Profit Organization, I was unable to get Unemployment. Our house is in Foreclosure, and up for Auction in Littleton, CO. on Nov. 18, 2009. I ask myself; “Where is The Church and Marilyn Hickey” in this time on crisis?? Do they not care that they put 40-45 Christians out of work and that we will be homeless on Nov. 18th? Where’s the love for our fellow Christians? Does Marilyn Hickey Ministies care for people in her own state or is it just for other countries? What do you think?

I dismissed my Unemployment case for Marilyn Hickey Ministries because I do not have the funds to pursue it!

Concerning the Marilyn Hickey Ministries Unemployment claim, Non-Profits don’t have to pay Unemployment Benefits!
But, as to why back in Jan. of 2008; Marilyn Hickey Ministries gave everyone raises, F/T employment and overhired 35 new employees – only to lay them off and rehire InService America to take their Prayer, Product and Global calls. Was it a misuse of GOD’s money??? Is M.H. M. ran like a business or a Non-Profit Corporation???
According to the Colorado Department Of Labor And Employment; it doesn’t matter – What only matters is if they are a Non-Profit Religious Organization!!

I am still awaiting “another” hearing date on my Unemployment claim with Marilyn Hickey Ministries???
I’ve been unemployed now for almost 4 months!
The bible talks about; “The wealth of the wicked is laid up for the righteous”!
As, Mircosoft did for their ex-employees; I am praying Marilyn Hickey and her daughter Sarah Bowling will have mercy on me and not force me to pay back the severance pay they gave me?
I believe Severance Pay and Unemployment Benefits are two different things!!

Marilyn Hickey Ministries sent me a letter written by Roland Tamminga, Chief Financial Officer & In House Counsel, concerning an Employee Separation Agreement. It stated: “Tandi, we appreciate the services you provided to Marilyn Hickey Ministries; however, we must put you on notice that in accordance with this Agreement, should you pursue any further type of claim against the Ministry, we will be entitled to make a demand for full recovery of the severence payment made to you at the time of your seperation of employment.”

Marilyn Hickey Ministries sent me a threatening letter on January 22, 2009; stating:”that if I did not stop pursuing my unemployment claim, they would force me to pay back the severance pay that I had received from them on November 07, 2008.” It was one week of pay for every two years of employment. I worked there for six years. The amount was just about enough to cover one months of wages.
That is why I filed for unemployment benefits!
Secondly, Marilyn Hickey Ministries told me I had to sign for my last paycheck!!

I lost the hearing with Marilyn Hickey Ministries on Jan. 12, 2009, because they are listed with the state of Colorado as a Non-Profit Corporation. So, therefore they do not have to pay Unemployment tax! It’s legal! But, is it ethical?
