Cleveland School Shooting – A 14-year old gunman opened fire at SuccessTech wounding two students and two teachers before being killed himself in the latest Cleveland school shooting news.
The Cleveland school shooting happened directly across the street from the FBI office in downtown Cleveland. Details are still sketchy as this is breaking news, but Cleveland Mayor Frank Jackson said, “They have the shooter,” but did not elaborate.
CNN reported that the 14-year old student killed himself after the shooting rampage in which two teachers were shot. He reportedly was upset about a suspension earlier this week for fighting. The 14-year old came to SuccessTech this afternoon with a gun in each hand and opened fire.

Ronnell Jackson, 15, said he saw the shooter running down a school hallway.”He was about to shoot me but I got out just in time,” he said.
Another student, Doneisha LeVert, said she heard the principal say “Code Blue” over the public address system, and the students started running. She said she hid in a closet with some of her friends.
Students stood outside the building, many in tears and on cell phones. Family members also stood outside, anxiously waiting for their children to be released.
“I’m scared. I’m hoping no more people got hurt,” Jackson said.
Tammy Mundy, 38, who has a son and daughter at the school, told The Plain Dealer of Cleveland that her daughter called when the shooting started.
“She said, ‘Mom they’re shooting in here, kids are running out, I’m hiding in the closet,’” Mundy told the newspaper.
Then she called her 18-year-old son, Darnell Rodgers, on his cell phone, and he told her he had been shot in the arm.
“He said, ‘Mom I got shot,’” Mundy told the newspaper.
Mayor Frank said at a 4 p.m. news conference that Darnell Rodgers had been treated and released from the hospital.
A 42-year-old man was shot in the chest and was also taken to MetroHealth as well as a 57-year-old man shot in the back, the mayor’s statement said.
MetroHealth Medical Center identified the 57-year-old as teacher David Kachadourian and said at about 4:30 p.m. ET that he was in good condition.
The 42-year-old teacher and the wounded 14-year-old student were in stable condition, Cleveland Mayor Frank said at the press conference.
WKYC in Cleveland reported that the security guard was on vacation and the other two security guard positions had been eliminated last year due to budget cuts.

It’s sad that our youth are resorting to violence to solve their problems. Our society is over saturated with crime and violence on the news, in tv programs, video games, etc. There is no escaping it. Children are being affected by the images they see and it seems that there aren’t enough positive images present that they are able to look up to. In addition, children that feel out of place should be provided with counseling. The shooter was rumored to have told students about his plans and the principal of the school was even warned. If his words would have been taken seriously then maybe this tragedy could of been avoided. If guns weren’t readily available to children then surely lives could be saved. Our society needs to address these issues and make efforts to change to prevent another tragedy from happening. I first read about this story on http://www.globalgrind.com.
