Our society is over saturated with crime and violence on the news, in tv programs, video games, etc. There is no escaping it. Children are being affected by the images they see and it seems that there aren't enough positive images present that they are able to look up to. In addition, children that feel out of place should be provided with counseling. The shooter was rumored to have told students about his plans and the principal of the school was even warned. If his words would have been taken seriously then maybe this tragedy could of been avoided. If guns weren't readily available to children then surely lives could be saved. Our society needs to address these issues and make efforts to change to prevent another tragedy from happening. I first read about this story on www.globalgrind.com.
