Here’s what you need to know:

40 Grand Prizes will be awarded. 
Grand Prize consists of a trip for two to either the ACC, SEC or Big 12 Football Championship from Thursday, November 29, 2007 to Sunday, December 2, 2007. 

The promotional sponsors of 40winners.com will determine your trip destination. Trip includes round trip coach air transportation, 3 nights lodging, airport transfers, commemorative gifts, admission to pre-game Sponsors’ party and two tickets to the ACC, SEC or Big 12 Football Championship Game.  See Official Rules for 40 Winners details.

All 40 Winners of one of the Championship Weekend packages will be automatically entered to participate in the Grand Prize Preliminary Competition to be held on November 27, 2007. 

40WINNERS.COM GRAND PRIZE PRELIMINARY COMPETITION:
On November 30, 2007, Pass Contestants at each of the three Championship Games will be joined by contestants from other Dr Pepper promotions, all to compete in the same pool of Pass Contestants for the chance to be the “Pass Finalists”.

Pass Contestants will participate in a Preliminary Competition, in which each Pass Contestant will have one “warm up” throw, then throw a football provided by Sponsors at a two-dimensional oversized Dr Pepper can replica provided by Sponsors (located on a goal line) from the 5-yard line. 

Each Preliminary Competition will take place at the Game Site.  Pass Contestants may not wear gloves or use any throwing aid.  Passes must pass from Pass Contestant’s hand and make contact with the Dr Pepper can replica, without touching the ground or any object or surface in order to continue in competition, all as solely determined by Sponsors or their judges. 

If a Pass Contestant does not succeed, he/she is eliminated.  If he/she is successful, as determined solely by Sponsors or their judges, the Pass Contestant will move to the 10-yard line. 

This process will continue, advancing 5-yards per round, until there are two Pass Contestants remaining. In the event that all remaining Pass Contestants have been disqualified in the same round, Pass Contestants will be reinstated 5 yards closer to the goal line, unless they are at the 5-yard line, in which case, Pass Contestants will be reinstated at the 5-yard line, and the Preliminary Competition will continue.

No transfer of Passes between Pass Contestants will be allowed.  The winners of each Pass Contest shall be deemed the Pass Finalists for such Championship Game.   In the case of a tie during the Final Event, Pass Finalists will compete in a throw-off to determine which Pass Finalist would be declared the Winner in the Final Event.

40 Winners Contest Rules

40WINNERS.COM GRAND PRIZE FINAL EVENT:
On December 1, 2007, during halftime at each of the three Championship Games, (each a “Final Event”) the Pass Finalists (two per Championship Game) will each have the opportunity to stand side-by-side and pass ten footballs provided by Sponsors from the 5-yard line into a 2-inch diameter “target” hole cut into two oversized Dr Pepper can replicas (one can replica for each Pass Finalist) provided by Sponsors which will be located on the goal line nearest the Pass Finalists (“Round One”). 

Pass Finalists may not wear gloves or use any throwing aid. No warm up or trial passes by the Pass Finalists will be permitted. The Pass Finalists will have a total of 30 seconds to complete the most passes. 

Passes must pass from Finalist’s hand, fully through the hole, without touching the ground or any object or surface other than the Dr Pepper can replica, all as solely determined by Sponsors or their judges, to be considered a “Successful Pass.”

The Pass Finalist who throws the most Successful Passes will win $100,000 and be the winner (“Winner”).  In the event of a tie, the Winner will be determined by the results of the Pass Finalist throw-off conducted at the end of the Preliminary Competition on or about Friday, November 30, 2007.

40Winners.com Million Dollar Prize Throw

The Winner will be given the option to keep the $100,000 or to throw one more football (“Final Pass”) from the 15-yard line or the 23-yard line and attempt to pass one single football into the large can (“Go for More Event”). 

If the 15-yard pass is selected and Winner makes a successful pass, as solely determined by Sponsors or their judges, the Winner will win $500,000. 

If the 23-yard pass is selected and Winner makes a successful pass, as solely determined by Sponsors or their judges, the Winner will win $1,000,000. 

However, if the Winner misses the Final Pass, then he/she will win $75,000.  

The Pass Finalist runner up will be awarded $23,000.

The first prize is Chick-fil-A® food for a year (52 Chick-fil-A Combo Meal coupons redeemable at participating Chick-fil-A® locations, each coupon valid for a free Chick-fil-A Combo Meal).

How do I know if I won a prize at 40Winners.com?
Potential winners will immediately see a winning notification message once they select a Cow.  The message will announce the specific prize won. 

Each winner must print out the winning message and retain for his/her records. Coupons will be mailed and should be received six to eight weeks following the date of your registration.
