Susie Scott Krabacher – from Playboy Playmate (see photos below) to helping the poorest of the poor in the slums of Haiti, Susie Scott Krabacher has done it all.
“Angels of a Lower Flight” is the Susie Scott Krabacher autobiography, detailing her rise from childhood sexual abuse to cocaine-fueled model to Playboy centerfold to angel of mercy.
Here’s Susie Scott Krabacher Playboy centerfold May 1983:

Susie’s memoir discusses the sexual abuse she suffered as a child. She was out of her family’s house and living a party life in Salt Lake City by age 15. The petite blonde’s good looks led to a modeling career and the Playboy mansion before she was 20.
Krabacher provides a glimpse of the sex and drugs that dominated her life without getting raunchy, offering details most people would die before revealing.
“Those things happened in my life,” Susie said in an interview. “I wasn’t equipped to make good decisions, and I didn’t. I made disastrous ones.”
She wrote about consuming only cocaine and vitamins for a month. She went through men at will, but rejected the advances of rocker Rod Stewart.
Julio Iglesias dumped Susie after she gave in to the temptations of drugs against his warnings. At the Playboy mansion, she slept with Hugh Hefner after ingesting an unknown drug and blacking out. The incident, she said, made her realize she needed a change in her life.
Krabacher then blundered into a lousy first marriage with a man who slept with a stripper during their honeymoon. They moved to Aspen, where his past caught up to him, and he got busted by the FBI for crimes she never details.
Luckily, she then met Joe Krabacher, the lawyer who handled her divorce proceeding. They fell in love and married in 1988.
Here’s Susie Scott Krabacher today helping Haiti orphans:

“Angels of a Lower Flight” switches from a depressing look at her own childhood to a lurid account of her time as a model to an inspiring look at Susie Scott Krabacher’s determination to make a positive difference in the world.
The Krabachers’ foundation now operates three schools, two orphanages, a hospital and a facility for abandoned babies. The nonprofit provides aid to more than 3,300 people in Haiti, mostly children.
And that’s the latest news on Susie Scott Krabacher.

Joe, her husband is really cool, and Susie is an angel. We attended the same high school in Athens, AL, and went out on a few dates, although it’s her beautiful free spirit that I remember most. We’ve kept up with one another over the years, though not as much the last years.
She used to send me micro-cassettes, after our letters got too long, many of them made during her travels, and oft Joe would talk to me as they travelled Rome, et cetra. Before this, a few years after her Playboy thing, I went in my kitchen one day and she was sitting there, jeans tucked into cowboy boots, just smiling, and said my kitchen smelled like gas. I mention this because… she always never looked down upon anyone, and had literally positioned herself beneath me, perhaps unconsciously showing that she didn’t think of herself as being above anyone. I’ll always remember that, and her golden heart.
She’s the real deal: note that she’s not flaunting her humanitarian work on tv, as most would.

In the above message, it should have read: “… sitting there on the floor,”. My remarks following that sentence don’t make much sense without correcting it.
(Moderator, please make this correction in above message, or leave this message if that’s not possible. Thanks

I think you have found your purpose in life. I hope people embrace your cause as you have embraced those kids.I suggest that you get help from local people to tackle the govt. and gangs-someone they would listen to perhaps-I am not sure if the direct confrontation is the best approach to get things done in that country-
Your story is inspiring and real and gives the reader an underlying feeling of hope…
