I dont understand why you guys rant so much about this. I am a wedding planner and if one of my clients feels betrayed because i failed to do things according to the contract i would give them their money back. As well as my florists, if they charge me almost $30k for flowers and they are hateful, brown and dying heck i would ask for my money back or otherwise i would sue them.

Of course the most important thing is to get married, but don’t forget this is business and you are paying for a service you are entitled to get. So if you go to Macdonalds and you get a rotten piece you would not sue them because “the important part was to go out and eat” ??? GEEZ!

first of all we all cry have mercy on the poor florist suing a ridiculous amount of money,doesnt she have a heart?but…we should ask ourselves if we americans happened to be in a situation like this one and there was a possibility to sue the other party for whatever amount even a retarted unthinkable amount that doesnt make sence would we NOT do it? If you can make money out of someonelses expence and the system allowes it do we give a fuck?unfortunetly for most people not.so who are you all to judge, im suuuuure you wouldnt have tried to get something out of the florist.Thats America deal with it.life isnt fair!!!

I used to be a florist…I wonder why her florist would agree to a contract that fixed the color of the flowers. That is if they really agreed to it… I usually work with contrast in colours for flowers. Pink can substitute maroon. It could still look good.

She doesn’t like the amount she was charged for what she received? That’s how ALL lawyers make people feel…if she doesn’t “win” a case for a client, can she be sued? I’m sure she will still expect her money. $27,000 for flowers? A lawsuit of $400,000 for $27,000 worth of flowers? She needs to have her HEAD examined… I guess this is just ANOTHER reason to NOT trust lawyers!

She and Roy ‘Pants Judge’ Pierson make me embarrassed to be a lawyer. I can’t afford to spend a fraction of what she spent on her flowers on my entire freaking wedding – and now she and her spoiled husband and mother-in-law want $400 grand?

I don’t care about her gender or religion. What I do care about is that she’s filed a lawsuit which is ridiculous at best and frivolous at worst, and that she has made the entire legal profession one again look like a ship of fools.

Disgusting and sickening. I’m thinking of joining a monastery after reading her complaint.

This was clear breach of contract. If she paid $27k for one type of flower, then got another, that’s breach. Plain and simple. As far as collecting $400k on a contract action – impossible. She can collect $27k unless there’s clear evidence of bad faith.

Mentioning that she is jewish does make you a racist. It is clear as day. Her religion does not have anything to do with the story so why is it mentioned? Or why do you reckon’ it is mentioned for some other reason than trying to tell people that these are things only jews would do?

I see that you are knocking everyone for listening to the media and accusing us of being sexist and making poor judgement. How do you know that she actually called Posy Florists four times and that she emailed them…being a little hypocritical are we? Shame on you.

I’m guessing that the “wilted” is what happens when you ask for flowers with brown/rust/antique tips.

She got exactly what she wanted, but overheard someone mention the “wilted” and “cheap” and took it to heart and to the law.

I really wish the legal profession would work itself out so that it approaches disagreements and misunderstanding with compassion, and understanding. If she was *that* upset… the proper settlement is “pay for the wholesale cost of the flowers” not 400 grand… I don’t care how valuable “your day” is… its not worth almost half a million, and if that is the focus of your special day — she is totally looking in the wrong direction… she should be looking in the direction of her family, and her husband… not her floral arrangements.

It seems a little abstract (not to call it completely and absolutely absurd) that she is suing the florist for $400,000 when the actual value of the flowers was $27,435.14 … regardless of her background, profession, whether the florist got the color wrong or forgot to deliver items, it just reeks of greed and single mindedness – no need to fill in any blanks there, it is as simple as that

Anyone who spends THAT much on flowers is going to get hated upon, plain and simple. That type of exorbitant display of ostentatiousness does nothing to make the average person feel sorry for the plaintiff in cases like this.

It is extremely disturbing to me that not one person actually knows this individual yet somehow thousands of people feel qualified to attack and excoriate her publicly, and what is most disconcerting is the extent to which I feel your judgment reeks of sexism and anti-Semitism. You all read four paragraphs from a media source and determined this woman’s entire life story. You looked at her name- she’s Jewish, so you stereotyped her because of that. She is a woman, so you called her a gold digger, unaware of whether or not her husband approved or supported her suit.. The media and the public has twisted and fashioned this story so that it fits into our classification system of judgment and stereotyping.
No one knows the whole story here, so I am uncertain as to why you all feel you do. Does anyone know what the whole suit entailed? Perhaps she was advised by fellow lawyers to seek a certain amount in damages. And what else was in that complaint? Maybe she paid for items that she did not receive. Maybe they promised her a certain amount of flowers that they did not deliver. Or are people so simple minded that they actually believe it was just about flowers that were the wrong color? In fact, why didn’t Posy Flowers contact her after the wedding when she emailed and called them four times to get a partial refund?
The reason why you have filled in the blanks is simple and more disturbing than a lawsuit that, unfortunate or not, is not uncommon in today’s litigious society. You are all judging an individual on limited information, based on her occupation, gender, and religion. She should be ashamed of herself? You should be ashamed of yourselves.
