Woman Sues Sister Over Text Message – A Smithfield, Utah woman sued her sister over a joke text message that she claimed was offensive.

Anna Hansen filed charges against her sister Jennifer Willhite for sending a text message about her new breast implants saying that she could now apply for a job at Hooters.

Jennifer Willhite was charged with telephone harassment for sending her sister Anna Hansen the text message after her sister went to the Smithfield City Police Department and filed a formal complaint.

The text message to Hansen from Willhite was meant to be a joke about Hansen’s cosmetic surgery, according to Willhite’s attorney.

Authorities didn’t accept her excuse and charged Willhite with Electronic Communications Harassment, a Class B Misdemeanor.

A bench trial was set for July 9, but Anna Hansen dropped the charges at the last minute last week.

Willhite said Hansen most likely dropped the charges due to publicity of the case and that she hasn’t spoken to her sister since she filed criminal charges.
