Man Arrested For Friending Ex On Facebook – A Florida man was arrested this week after he allegedly violated a domestic order by sending his estranged wife a “friend request” on the social networking site.
Harry Bruder, 54, was arrested after admitting he contacted his soon-to-be ex-wife through Facebook twice last month, according to court documents.
“Yeah I did it,” the Hudson resident told the cops, acknowledging it was a “stupid” move.
Police contend the friend requests breached a domestic violence injunction obtained by his wife Carole, which prohibits him from making any contact with her. The couple has been separated for two years.
Bruder also admitted to changing his wife’s password on her Yahoo e-mail account. He said he did it because he was angry at a judge’s order that he attend counseling sessions, a result of the injunction.
He is currently in jail in lieu of a $5,000 bond.
Bruder made a reference to the restraining order on his Facebook page:
“Today my future x wife thinks she won but the real winner is me for I know the truth she is nothing but a lying emotionally disturbed woman who needs help to handle previous abusive relationship.”
