I've been in the basement and there is some furniture and things he may have carved, but they are most likely heavily damaged with soot and water damage. The only things I saw not damaged were a few books tucked away in some shelves.

Marlys,

I was at the church earlier some volunteers came by and went through the debris to pick up valuables yesterday. From the looks of it not much survived except the children' swings at the corner of church and two trees.

Marlys,

I haven't yet been able to get to the site (the roads are all blocked) but if you email malibupresinfo@gmail.com we can inform you as soon as we know. In case you don't get a response from that, my email is kiga@pepperdine.edu and I serve on session at MPC.

The founding Minister Rodney MaQuary was married to my grandmother. The family is wondering if there is anything left of Rodney's carvings. The alter was his work of art and I understand that in the lower level of the church there were several items that Rodney had carved. Any information you could give us would be greatly appreciated.
