San Diego Fire Evacuations Lifted – With 600,000 San Diego residents forced to evacuate, a few lucky resident had their fire evacuation lifted and they can return home.

Here is the list of San Diego fire evacuations lifted as of 10/23/2007  at 4:00PM PST:

San Diego Evacuations lifted

Del Mar
The San Diego Fire-Rescue Department has begun allowing people back into two areas previously evacuated due to the Witch fire, according to spokeswoman Monica Munoz.

Residents will be allowed back into the following areas:

  1. South of Via de la Valle, west of Interstate 5, north of Torrey Pines State Beach
  2. South of Beeler Canyon Road, west of Sycamore Canyon Road, east of Interstate 15 and north of Marine Corps Air Station Miramar.  

Poway
The city of Poway has reopened the following areas and reports residents can return to their homes:
South of Twin Peaks Road
East of Community Road to Tierra Bonita Road on the north and Donard Drive on the south
West of Ipava Drive
West and north of Poway Road.

Chula Vista
The City of Chula Vista has lifted all evacuation notices within the city. Residents who evacuated are allowed to return to their homes.

Solana Beach
The City of Solana Beach has lifted all evacuation notices within the city. Residents who evacuated are allowed to return to their homes.
