Beware of these pizzas. I woke up in the middle of the night with severe stomache cramps. I tried to lay there until they went away. Finally, I got up and vomitted a few times and then again. I called my mom, who had asked me what I had eaten the night before. After I told her I had eaten a frozen pizza, she had then told me that totinos had recalled many of their frozen pizzas. My husband and I checked our freezer and sure enough we had purchased the tainted pizzas. My husband had to call off from a days work in order to take care of our son while I layed in bed sick from tainted pizza... I just want to urge people to check your freezers and DO NOT EAT THESE TAINTED PIZZAS.

Also, for the people who keep saying that there have only been 9 cases of ecoli. reported... think of all of the times you may have eaten something bad and never reported it.

E. coli WILL die when cooked to proper temperature (USDA recommends cooking meats to 160 degrees...) but the toxins the bacteria excrete as they consume the food cannot be denatured or destroyed by cooking. As to the Totino's recall, I have sympathy for anyone afflicted with this illness. I'm currently suffering through what I suspect is food poisoning from a Totino's Classic Pepperoni Pizza (UPC ...11402) with EST. 7750 and a "Sell By:" date of April 8, 2008. I checked the web for the recall info and guessed that no respectable grocery store would stock their shelves with a contaminated product. The lack of an absolute product match contributed to my confidence (sell by of April 8 vs. April 2). I ate the pizza Dec. 2, 2007 at 4:35 p.m. and was feeling very ill by 9:00 p.m. and was up all night long with strong sharp stomach cramping, severe nausea, lightheadedness, and diarrhea.

Well, only nine cases have been attributed to the pizza. You could never know how many people have actually been affected. How often do you go to the hospital after a bout of vomiting, and how often do they analyze the contents of people's stomachs when they DO go?

Hubby was up half the night puking (has not eaten Totinos pizza in ages), and he is on his way to work right now. Don't know if it was a mild touch of food poisoning, a virus, or something else. Never will know.

My daughter was very sick once after a friend's wedding. She only found out much later that several other people who had eaten at the wedding had ended up in the hospital with food poisoning. These are people she didn't know, and her doctor did not test her for food poisoning. It was only coincidence that she met someone later who knew someone who had been diagnosed with food poisoning after that wedding.

So, we'll never really know how many people have been affected.

9 cases of e-coli? That makes the chances of an average American getting e-coli from these pizzas approximately .000003% It's more probable you'll get struck by lightning than get e-coli from Totino's pizza. I eat them 1-3 times a day and I feel fine. And actually their nutrition facts aren't that bad. Saturated fat isn't too bad, low cholesterol, plenty of protein, and even some calcium, iron, and Vitamin A. Totino's!

O.K. , I'm a bit confused. My upc codes match, but the usda code does not, with expiration date of 3-22-08. Does that mean I'm o.k. with what I have?
Thanks

my wife and i both got really sick after eating the tostinos pizza rolls sunday. the pain was harsh, not to mention all the side effects. there should be a better way of alerting the public. we had not heard of the recall and im sure she had bought them AFTER the recall went into effect. my kidneys are still hurting me. as for returning the upc code for a replacement, they gotta be outta their minds. we arent buying anythingthing else from them.

The pizza rolls are fine. Just check the UPC's listed on the barcode. If it matches, don't eat it because you never know. I actually just ate some the other day and I'm fine. But we had to throw away some of our pizzas as well. We had four in our freezer for our friday party nights. My hunnie decided to cook a pizza and luckily, it was the only good one we had. There should be more publicity of dangers to any people that might eat or use any contaminated goods.

I'm just curious... Is the recall only on the pizzas or is it the pizza rolls to. I threw out the pizzas but still have the pizza rolls. My daughter takes them to school for lunch, but I have been afraid to send them with her until I know for sure. Does anyone have the answer???

To Tiffany...before you go and bash someone, first read their entry correctly. She is not feeding these to her daughter, but her fiancee (one you're intending to marry). Her response said nothing about eating these pizzas due to finances as you quoted her. Maybe you need to brush up on your vocab and reading comprehension. Get your facts straight first.

This is to Miss Katherine Stanley in "NC". If you are feeding yourself and your daughter 50 pizzas a month, perhaps you should worry about her health simply because of this. Though I like them alot, have you seen the nutritional facts of them. Stop worrying about what you "might have" caught from them and eat a little healthier, you might find that your stomach doesnt "hurt" so much. I agree with you Rebecca, this country has become way to sue happy. Especially when her first sentence was "due to finances" . I have to wonder is there a motive here. Go totinos...great food will continue to eat them. Katherine...possibly you should try Ramen, could save you an extra penny and you can stop worrying about who you will "sue".

Exactly what I want to know? All the numbers on my pizzas match with the recall, except the exp date on mine is dec, I pitched the 2 I had anyway and figure the 41¢ stamp+ envelope + paper and ink for cover letter is hardly worth the re-imburstment of my $1.98 spent on pizza's. I have never been the proud owner of anything recalled though so I at least have some "gossip" for the office tomorrow.

The reason why I said what I did was because only 9 cases of food poisoning have occured in the WHOLE U.S. that have been confirmed as actual cases that the people said they had eaten totino's pizza recently but I mean it's not the only thing they ate that day. They don't really even know for sure if the pizzas caused it.

This is in response to Katherine Stanley. Please get over yourself. It's possible it's your imagination or it's possible you really are sick from the pizzas but it sounds very much to me like you just want some money. Yeah our food should of course not be deseased but people like you who just want to cash in on this are what is wrong with this country. I think that if we didn't keep suing these companies for all they've got they would have the money to ensure that our food is safe. I do hope Kim's daughter is okay though. If my daughter got sick from this stuff, I wouldn't be trying to sue them though like some idiots. I would be protesting these companies methods that are obviously not working or doing something active. Come on people!

It's very unfortunate that my fiancee and I practically live off of these pizzas. I'd say in Oct. alone we probably purchased and ate 50+ (we usually buy about 20 per grocery run). Sadder still is the fact that I only eat pepperoni, and he's only been eating supreme as of late, so our chances of missing this are slim. I've been up all night with stomach aches and worse. So far, he seems fine. I just wish we'd known a bit sooner. We just purchased 20 of these (10 pepperoni and 10 supreme) last Wed., and by the time we found out about the recall we only had 2 pizzas left. I'm going to Urgent Care today to try and find out what's going on. If I find that my stomach upsets have anything to do with this, you can bet there will be a lawsuit coming, and you can add North Carolina to the list.

I am totally outraged. My daughter is so sick right now and come to find out all the pizzas we bought and have eaten match the recall. I am outraged that this is happening with huge corporations. You would think with all the $ they are making they would take better precautions to protect the consumers. There are way to many ecoli recalls going on right now. I am just keeping my fingers crossed my daughter is going to be ok. Doctor says the next 12-24 hours will be the tell all.

It is so sad that you can't find any of this information available on the Pillsbury or General Mills websites (at least at the time of writing this on a Friday night). That's sad. People could die from their food or loose months of their lives and even after a mandated recall, they do nothing to warn their patrons. I had to Google other websites like this just to find the UPC codes so I wouldn't have to thow away all the pizzas we stockpile in the family freezer. I'd rather get this information from the makers of the food where I know UPC and Lot codes will be updated as they discover other possible new contaminations. Again, so sad. I say phooey on all you greedy corporate porkers!
