Tucker Chapman isn’t even a regular on the show and his dad has done a lot for him since his release from prison in May, 2006 on drug charges. Maybe Dog felt bad because Tucker’s sister Barbara Katie Chapman died in a car accident the day before Dog remarried, but the bottom line is that Tucker is lowlife scum who only cares about himself.
He saw a chance to make a quick buck and like any ex-con, he grabbed it without any thought of the consequences for his father or the rest of his family. Now their show is cancelled and the damage total is in the millions. Way to go Tucker, you greedy SOB!

This is the FIRST accurate analysis of this whole blowup I’ve seen ANYWHERE. From all I’d heard in the media, on the Web, on blogs, the tape was supposed to be HORRIBLY offensive, and it’s not. It’s Dog calmly explaining that there’s vulgar langauge flying around the house, and it could be used against them. Should Dog clean up his act? Sure, but I can hit 10 people with a brick from where I’m sitting who should as well, they’re just not famous.

Black crime is a problem, but crime is not an ethnic issue. Middle class and upper class neighborhoods don’t suffer from high crime rates regardless of color. Lower class neighborhoods do have high crime rates and they are mostly made up of blacks.

I am sure Dog regrets what was said in the heat of the moment. However, that doesn’t entirely relieve him of the fall out that is going to accompany this. It also doesn’t justify Tucker’s sell out of his dad and his family. The family will survive in spite of this betrayal but I doubt it will be forgotten. Tucker there is nothing thicker than blood, friends come and go but family is forever!

South Africa is majority black. You are either lying or incredibly ignorant. It is also not the most violent part of Africa. It may have the highest crime rates (due to a large number of whites who have jobs and money), but savage civil wars are constantly being fought all across the continent of Africa. These black-on-black civil/tribal wars take more lives every year than crime in South Africa.
South Africa does, however, have a crime problem. A black crime problem. Just like everywhere else in the world with a large number of blacks. And just like in South Africa, the crime here in America has a large black-on-white component. Read the FBI’s crime statistics if you don’t believe me. Blacks commit violent crimes at 8 times the white rate, and are two to three times as likely as whites to commit a hate crime. There is also more black-on-white crime in America than black-on-black crime. But perhaps we should forget all of this and make sure that Dog loses his job because he said “nigger.” Do black people ever use racial slurs? Any black people? Why aren’t they ever on the news losing their jobs over it (insert blacks having jobs joke here)?
Oh, and one more thing, “Truth”. There are far more white people below the poverty line in America than black people. That’s right. Check the US Census numbers to see for yourself. So why don’t all of these poor whites commit crimes at the same rate as blacks? Enlighten me, please…..

I was born and raised in D.C. It is not important whether one is black or white. The use of the n word is offensive. So is the use of the word Redskin. So is the use of the word chink or gook. Okay … I was insolently angry in my previous postings and spoke boorishly… assuming that most would be as sickened as I was by listening to the tape! I am so glad that lawfully Hawaii is a “ one party state” which means legally only one person needs to consent to taping a conversation so Tucker is free from consequence… as an educated black woman; who was a fan of the show… I am disgusted by the Dog (not to mention some of the comments made by people who could never understand the connotations behind the slurs…) I am glad he has been exposed! Ok, I’m going to make a lot of enemies here, and I regret that, but. . . Dog has a right to feel, think, and say whatever he chooses to in his own house, to his own family, and over a telephone line that he has paid for.
Although I don’t agree with how he feels, his feels are his own and no one has a right to judge him. Before I heard the entire recording, I thought it offensive, but still and all his right. After hearing the entire recording, I feel even more strongly about the fact that he has a right to feel and think however works best for him. Does that mean he has a right to impede his ideas and restrict others from living their own life, no. No one has a right to do that.
In other words, Dog can hate me because I’m Black, that’s his right. But he has no right to enact that hatered in any way shape or form unto me. It’s an ugly reality, but reality none the less. We all have people FOR WHATEVER REASONS that we don’t approve of, especially for our children. Ones to say which reasons are right, wrong, correct, incorrect, etc.
BUT UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES WHAT SO EVER, should a child ever turn on his parents! The Bible tells us this. We are to honor our Mother and Father. Dog may be wrong in some respects, but he had every right to demand his expectations. It is no different than when we put demands on our younger children . . . if they intend to receive support from us, then they must respect how we choose to live.
It sounds as if the young lady gave Dog plenty of reasons not to approve of her despite the color of her skin.
His son was wrong and there is nothing Christian like about turning on your parent who hasn’t DONE anything wrong, but has an opinion that he is more than entitled to.
I’m Black, and what he says doesn’t offend me at all. I’m very aware of the N word, its origin, how it continues to be used today and frankly . . . I’m sick of the empowerment the word has. We are all politically incorrect at some point in our lives. . . but not everyone is willing to own up to that fact.

There are all sorts of things we do in private that would cost us our jobs or reputations if we did them in public.
What Pee Wee Herman did in a movie theater, pretty much everyone has done at least once in private. But he knew he was in public, and he was willing to take the risk (part of the thrill, I suppose).
What Dog said in a phone call to his son — the son he should have named Judas — was to be heard by one person. You can tell by Tucker’s language that he was just as capable of using those words as well.
There should have been no risk in saying them. No one but Tucker was meant to hear them.
This is why I’ve stopped purchasing any of the gossip magazines that pay people for betraying trusts in order to get the stories they print. There are no scruples. There are no morals, and I won’t be party to it anymore.
I can’t believe that anyone who listened to the tape and the context of what Dog was saying, and the POINT Dog was making, could think that he’s being racist. He was cautioning Tucker that his girlfriend was trying to make a tape to sell Dog out.
And, ironically, he gave his own son the idea to sell him out.

Bit off the subject, but I just need to put my 2 cents in here. I was actually offended by Duane comparing Mexicans to whores, or… “whatever.” I am probably the whitest of the white in regards to “ethnicity” as I was born in Scandinavia (my wife is Mexican). My first experience with African “Americans” was in 1st grade, in the U.S., when I was told by an African American kid that I had never met before, that he would “kill me” (I’m sitting in school assembly, minding my own business, it’s dark, everyone is looking at some person dressed as Snoopy dancing around, and this jerk taps on my shoulder). I asked “why do you want to kill me??” This kid answers “because YOU WHITE!!!” This happened 35 years ago, but I remember it like it was yesterday. Then about two years ago, we’re driving home from work, with my Mexican wife, and this huge 6 foot tall, 300 pound gooney goo goo Eddie Murphey’s “Aunt Bunny” character jumps out of her car (as we’re stopped at a red light) and kicks our car. After reading all the comments, Its a shame that in America, there is still anger towards our differences. Everybody should just pick up a Bible and read it. This country is over 200 hundred years old and we still find way to hurt eachother, with words or violence. As a blonde octoroon , I find the offensive language of the blacks against my ancestors as disgusting as those of Chapman. I find it also strange that because my heritage is of only a certain percentage is only 1/8th black that I am classified as white. I really hate to hear anybody use the N-word at all, and for that matter, the f-word, and other “4 letter” words. However, the N-word “witch hunts” that are going on nowadays are just as awful. Granted, people need to hold their tongues, for once, but this business of prioritizing ONE MISTAKE over others is a double standard. I do believe that racism is still quite prevalent, but, many times, these words are not racist in nature: they are just used for lack of a more hurtful or damaging word in times of anger or stupor or drunkenness. I do think Dog should apologize in general since he is in a sort of role model position, but I do not think that he should lose everything. For that matter, I think that if we are going to be so severe on matters of speech, we should also crackdown on DUI’s (be it celebrities or otherwise), rapists, murderers, and, say, liars/perjurers, adulterers, abusive parents, and the list goes on… since we are SO interested in being people of “high moral standing.” Let’s all either grow some thick skin, (but since that will NEVER happen) or just be nice people and consider how our words might hurt someone–and then apologize for our mistakes and forgive people when they are sorry for what they did! (wait, that won’t happen either–we’d rather just be miserable and commiserate and rejoice when people fall from grace)

This is obviously a very dis-functional family. Dog seems to have marginal relationships with most of his kids. As far as the son selling out the father, maybe the father just didn’t build a big enough bond.

As an educated African woman it amazes me how judgement is passed on a person based on the color of his or her skin. As an educated African woman — and notice I left the American part off — with dual M.B.A.’s, it amazes me how people try to speak on a subject when they have no first hand knowledge of said subject. Would I want to be anything other that African? Absolutely not!! We do not walk into schools and shoot other people because we are not liked. Nor do we conspire to blow up buildings and send letter bombs through the mail. But I guess that shows Caucasian intelligence. Because they can so easily destroy what God has so lovingly created.
Yes, it was a private call. Yes, Tucker did betray his family. Yes, ‘Dog’ is entitled to his opinion. So what is all the commotion about? It’s about racist America being exposed once again. And the lame apology that inevitably comes with the exposure will likely make it all go away… until the next racist is brought to the light.

I hope they put his show back on. i didn’t watch it much, but this man shouldn’t lose his job and future because someone invaded his privacy and betrayed his trust. Honestly, coming from a VERY educated Black woman . . . Dog did nothing wrong.
We both, Black and White, have members of our race that we aren’t proud of. My people can do and be some crazy S*&^, but so can people of every other race, Whites included. None of us are perfect. There is no perfect race. We’re all just trying to do the best we can . . . some try harder than others . . . that goes for ALL RACES.

He sounds like a father using his first amendment rights, explaining to a naive child the implications of his sons relationship with a young lady who has made it clear that she intends to tape him using the word “Nigger” so she can collect a little cash. While you may not agree with it, the constitution gives him the right to say it. Should we eschew our constitutional rights because it offends part of the population? what about blacks calling each other “Nigger”? why is that o.k? Why aren’t the people calling for his show to be canceled marching over to the music producers and demanding that the rap and hip/hop artists stop using it in their songs, or would that unfairly oppress the black artists? Will these same people be marching out side of a Chris Rock (I love his comedy) show because he says “Nigger” in his shows? I have never personally seen any demonstration against a black for racism. Is there maybe a little reverse discrimination going on?
Why is it that the blacks are so quick to jump on the white personalities, but when the roles are reversed, its simply because the whites must be racist and want to keep the black man down. Stop using the race card and pull your heads out of the sand, you can’t have it both ways. When true speech is used, only then will the real pulse of America be found, and I’m sure it will be nothing like the candy coated, politically correct crap we have today.

Regardless of what Dog was saying, there is nothing or no one that can convince me that Tucker is justified in any way for selling out his family. I’m sure that there are conversations that happened within 98% of families, regardless of color, that if they were made public would solicit criticism, anger or whatever. I don’t condone racism at all (to me it is the highest form of ignorance that exists), but this is a private matter and from what I witnessed, Dog isn’t racist in his public persona. I don’t want to be ignorant, or sound like I’m approving what Dog said, but those without suchs rants (racial, gay, disapproving a child’s mate, etc.) in their personal lives should be the only one’s throwing the stones. I’m so tired of all the media hype regarding racial slurrs. Exposing people of celebrity. Trying to prompt everyone including myself to participate in a forum of ugly exchanges and criticism.
Enough.
The only way to have any change is if we as individuals change. Change how we raise our children so we no longer perpetuate the offensive and hatred. It’s not going to change anytime soon however we all can make a difference.
Take this moment to reflect on the role we all play in any occurences that happen in our lives and do our part towards peace and harmony. Take responsibilty for our actions and holding the necessary parties accountable for their actions .
The choices we make matter. These choices effect everyone, not only the person you are trying to bring down. There so much grey area here. Take a look at the whole picture which includes the good as well as the evil.
The balance of yin and yang has been a part of this world for centuries. A constant movement.
We need to hold strong to our beliefs and make the right choices. We also need to take our mis-takes, learn from those experiences and not repeat them. Experience comes from mistakes.
Forgiveness is necessary not only towards others, however most importantly, ourselves.
Apologies and redemption should come from within and no one needs to know how the change will take place. Humble yourself and your actions will speak in droves.
Lets drop our judgements and leave these people so they can pick up the pieces and mend some pretty heavy wounds.

And my boyfriend, who sees things realistically, said “That was a private conversation between Dog and his son. You dont think Black people do the same thing in their private conversations?” Where do you think the words White Trash and Cracker came from? And I’m sure there are many other names they use only among themselves. This whole N___er incident started getting public attention when Rap Artists were getting out of hand with their own racial slurs about degrading Black women!! In Dog’s case, it wasn’t just name-calling ’cause he mentioned that he’d be pissed if a daughter brought home a black guy. In fact, we don’t even know if the girlfriend is of dubious repute; we just have Dog’s word for it.
IMO, it doesn’t have anything to do what is said in public or in private. This man led people to believe that he was one thing, when in private he was completely different.
My moods, my hair, my whatever may change from day to day; but my overall personality and how I am as a human being is pretty much the same (in public AND in private). Dog pulled the wool over everyone’s eyes.

People lose their TV shows because they gained weight, the network moved them to a different timeslot, or for no reason at all.

Shocking Claims: Bounty Hunter’s ex-lover reveals WHAT A REAL “DOG” HE IS

They don’t call “Bounty Hunter” Duane Chapman “Dog” for nothing!
In a shocking tell-all interview, Delana Duncan-a woman who claims to
be Dog’s ex-lover and drug buddy-says she can blow the lid off th A&E
star’s carefully crafted born-again, anti-drug image.
Dalana’s chargees come on the heels of Chapman’s areest in connection
with his capture of convicted rapist Andrew Luster in Mexico three
years ago. Chapman has been released from jail on $300,000 bail.
According to DeLana, Dog got legal custody of her when she was 16 by
falsely claiming he was her natural father. Seven years later she
says the married ex-con seduced her with cocaine. What’s more, she
claims, the two shared a cocaine-fueled sex party in October
2005-just months before Dog married his longtime girlfriend Beth!
“Dog” Chapman stole my childhood and ruined my life,” DaLana, now 36,
told THE ENQUIRER. “I needed a father-all he wanted was sex.”
They met in 1987 when DaLana was 16 and Dog, then 34, was a bail
bondsman in Denver, Colo. She’d violated probation and he tracked her
down.
“He told me:”I’m your dad and I’ll help you,’ but it was a lie,” said
DaLana, who passed polygraph test administered at the ENQUIRER’S
request. “He went to court with me and got custody, claiming he was
my natural father. I lived in an unheated camper in his front yard,
with Dog telling everyone I was his daughter,” she claims.
“One night, we went to a drive-n movie. Dog was drunk. He grabbed my
breast and said: “I’ve always loved you. You know I’m not your real
father.’ I was shocked and pushed him away. The next day, he said he
was drunk and didn’t mean what he said.”
DaLana says their affair started after Chapman brought her to Hawaii,
where she lived with his then-wife Tawny.
“One night, when I was about 24, Dog came over and had another woman
bring cocaine,” she asserts.
“He kept rubbing himself against me, saying: ‘Come on, baby, let’s
get it on.” I kept saying: No!’ But he wouldn’t listen. I finally
said: ‘If I have sex with you, will you leave me alone?” I was so
stoned I didn’t know what I was doing.”
“That night, we had sex for the first time. We became lovers,’ she
claims.
“Dog took me to the Big Island with him and told his kids that I
wasn’t his daughter-I was going to be their new stepmom!
“I stayed with Dog from late 1994 to August of 1995, and then I went
back to Denver.”
Duane Chapman had DaLana’s name tatooed on his arm.
DaLan Duncan has pictures of her with Duane Chapman in her apartment
and out by the pool.
In October 2005, she claims Dog visited her and they used drugs and
had sex.
“Here he is on TV praying for druggies to get clean and he’s using.
He’s such a hypocrite,” she said.
When contacted by The ENQUIRER, Dog said:”I just feel very sorry for
this woman-someone I had a relationship with years ago, and whom I
have tried to help since then. I have been, and will always remain,
faithful to my wife, Beth.
“We will not dignify her false accusations with any further comment.”
DaLana added: “Now that Duane’s facing extradition to Mexico, people
think he’s a big hero. I want everyone to realize what a liar he
really is.”

‘Bounty Hunter’ spends up to $2,000 a month. Instead of walking the
straight and narrow, eyewitnesses claim Duane Chapman is breaking the
law.
“Ive seen him so messed up that he couldn’t get to his office to film
his TV show”.
Duane Dog Chapman is a crackhead, several eyewitness sources have
exclusively told The ENQUIRER!
The mullet-haired felon chaser has been smoking crack cocaine since
at least 1995, say the eyewitnesses-and spent up to $2,000 a month on
drugs, a blockbuster ENQUIRER investigation reveals.
And in one of the most blatant examples of celebrity hypocrisy ever,
Dog urges the lawbreakers he collars on his hit A&E show, “Dog the
Bounty Hunter” to go straight and kick drugs-while he gets higher
than a kite, according to those close to him.
“Duane Chapman is a phony! I know-because I’m his crack dealer!”
tatooed blonde Linda Heigle, who’s been selling drugs to Chapman
since March 2005, to The ENQUIRER.
“I’ve sold crack to him, smoked crack with him more than 100 times
and seen him so messed up that he couldn’t get to his office to film
his TV show!
Chapman’s former girlfriend DaLana Duncan also claims she smoked
crack with him in 1995 and again in 2005 in Denver. “Dog is a
cokehead. He snorts it, smokes it and eats it,” DaLana told The
ENQUIRER.
“He WAY overdoses it-and he can’t get enough. Once, I refused to give
him any more drugs because I thought he was going to die!”
Sympathy poured out for Chapman-whose top-rated show is in its third
season-after federal agents recently arrested him for extradition to
Mexico.
But the night before his Sept. 14 arrest, Linda says he bought $200
worth of crack from her-and he bought another $100 worth of crack
from her before authorities hauled him off to jail the next day!
The extradition case is now on hold-but in the months leading to his
arrest, Chapman blew thousands of dollars on a wild drug spree.
“Dog bought about $2,000 worth of crack a month from me for about a
year and a half,” said Linda, who passed a polygraph test.
“He’d usually buy crack from me twice a week, for hundreds of dollars
at a time. He’d pay in cash so his wife Beth wouldn’t find out.
“The first time we did business was in March 2005. Duane said he’d
pay me $2,000 for a girl and drugs. I sold him five grams of crack,
but he wasn’t capable of having sex after we smoked it.”
Shockingly, Chapman smoked crack inside his Oahu, Hawaii, home while
his children were sleeping, according to Linda.
“If the kids were getting up, he’d go into the bathroom,” she said.
“When his wife was sleeping, we smoked outside in his car or the
garden.”
Smoking crack also triggered severe paranoia in Chapman, says Linda,
who adds that he once spent two years in a Texas prison on murder
charges.
“Duane would think someone was filming him or recording him,” said
Linda. “He would run around the house, checking the windows and doors
to make sure they were locked.”
What’s more, Chapman-who claims to be a born-again Christian-even got
high before taping his show, according to Linda!
“He’d smoke all night before filming his TV show. Then he’d be too
high to go do the show,” said Linda, 41, who’s moved from Hawaii to
California to escape her druggie past.
“Beth would be calling, cursing and saying,’I've got 20 producers
here waiting for Duane.’ But Duane wouldn’t leave. He wanted to stay
and keep smoking crack.
“I’d have to shove him into the shower, pour coffee down his throat
and then get him to take a Valium to bring him down.”
Tawny Chapman, who was married to Dog in the early 90’s, also says
she witnessed his crack use firsthand.
“Two years after we separated, I went to his house and the kids were
all home. When Dog opened his door, he was smoking a hit of crack,”
Tawny told The ENQUIRER. “The pipe was in his hand.
He said, ‘Mind your own business!’ and physically threw me down six
steps into the yard.
“Dog is always talking about rehabilitating people on TV, but I know
him for the phony he is. I can’t stand his hypocrisy anymore.”
Chapman even smoked crack with his son Christopher, according to
those close to the family. Now 37, Christopher is in a Colorado jail.
“Christopher told me he was smoking crack all the time with Dog in
1996. He blamed Dog for getting him hooked on crack and so do I,”
said Gloria Hecht, who raised Christopher from the time he was 5.
Chapman’s ex-girlfriend DaLana Duncan also confirmed the “Bounty
Hunter” used drugs with Christopher. “One time I picked Dog up at a
hotel in Denverand he told me that he and Christopher had been
smoking crack for five days,” said DaLana, who also passed a
polygraph test.
When contacted by The ENQUIRER about claims by Linda, DaLana, and
Gloria that he smoked crack, Chapman said, “They’re all lying.”
Asked if he ever smoked crack, he answered:”Why would I tell you
that?” Then he insisted that he’s “never” smoked crack
cocaine-adding:”I have a lot of enemies right now because of this
thing in Mexico.”
Despite his denials, Linda claims she only has Chapman’s best
interest at heart.
“I’m revealing the truth about Duane Chapman to make him get help
before it’s too late,” she said. “I don’t want him to die.”

I can’t understand why anyone would care what this trash says anyway, but then he’s not MY father and I was never a fan. Tucker learned from the best. As for privacy, public figures have to face the music for private actions. Why apologize for Dog because his son is just like him, ruins people’s lives for money? What a country — ex-cons are our heroes deserving of our constant attention and avid defense? I don’t have children but I imagine a lot of people that posted above do and that time could have been better spent making sure your children respect, love, and admire you. The moral here is if you make irrationally hateful comments about people that your children care about, your children probably resent it and don’t respect you, and they may respond in a way that they have learned from you or from whoever was around to raise them while you were doing time or whatever.

Tucker sold out his family. The father is obviously concerned about his son’s welfare. As to the choice of language, it was uncalled for, but again, it stemmed from his overwhelming sense of concern for his son….and as someone mentioned earlier, using such language is not against the law, it’s only highly distasteful and inflammatory.

Wow, these are quite the postings. If the N word is so offensive and a man can lose his livlihood from using it on a PRIVATE phone conversation, then shouldn’t I as well be allowed to go after anyone I hear that uses the word cracker, whitey, or honky around me? Yes I should. Maybe if every white person in America started protesting loudly, suing, and ripping away people’s lives every time someone calls us a name we vote to be offensive (not amongst ourselves, just for others to use/sound familiar?), then the non-whites will know how it feels to have to watch every word coming from their mouths, even in their own homes. So be careful non-white America, I’m now walking around with a tape recorder just waiting to catch one of you using any word I don’t like so I can ruin your life.

Duane, why would you tell your own son that you will take his lively hood away when you went through all that b/s in your life to get yourself positioned to take care of your sons. If you want to admit it or not, you are an old school racist! You care what other racists like your self might think. Your son is breaking the long line of racists in your bloodline and you can’t stand it. So, when you threatened to take away his way to earn, which you have been using it against your whole family as love, he was forced into a corner and get his due. You have grown to think your shit don’t stink since your show. Take this as a wake up or you may lose your family, to hell with the show. Just like the KKK, you have rasied your children in that way of thinking and when they think for themselves it’s a hard pill to swollow.

Tucker was overly selfish to sweep the rug out from his family’s life/business all for a girl he’s know for 7 months. I’ll be curious to see if she is still with him in 3 months. Not a huge fan of the show but Dog was helpful to plenty of socially disfunctional people.

Hey Mom2Many; Sounds like a plan. We need to record what Black people are saying about white people. I think some Black people get a kick out of the trouble white people get into when saying dumb, unappropriate things. I think the reason they get a kick out of it is because they havn’t been caught yes saying inappropropriate things about white people yet. I’ve seen things in Black Comedy movies and if you watch Black comedy, you do see and hear some white jokes. The truth is in the joke though, that’s how you get away with it. But OVERALL I dont think Black people mean us white people any harm. I think Extremists Muslims want to wipe us all off the planet, Black AND White. That’s the REAL problem and the more Democrats and Republicans and Blacks and Whites bicker amongst each other, the more focus we are taking away from our REAL ENEMIES !!! WAKE UP AMERICA !
