Cargill Beef Recall - Cargill announced a massive ground beef recall Saturday for the following hamburger brands - Giant, Shop Rite, Stop & Shop, Wegmans and Weis.
Consumers with hamburger recall products from the Cargill plant are advised to throw away the contaminated ground beef. Consumers with questions about the beef recall should contact the Cargill’s food safety line at 1-877-455-1034.
Each package or label bears the establishment number “Est. 9400” inside the USDA mark of inspection. As the use/freeze-by dates for products subject to this recall have expired, consumers should check their freezers for these hamburger products and return or discard them if found.

Cargill Hamburger Recall News
Cargill learned the meat recalled may be contaminated after the Agriculture Department found a problem with a sample of the beef produced on Oct. 8, the company said. The bacteria is E. coli 0157:H7.
“No illnesses have been associated with this product,” said John Keating, president of Cargill Regional Beef, said in a statement. “We are working closely with the USDA to remove this product from the marketplace.”

10 states are included in the recall:
Connecticut, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania and Virginia.

See, this is what happens when you employ illegals to work in your factories. I’d like to see Cargill go down in flames for this, it’ll serve them right. And hopefully, this will be a wake up call to other greedy big corporations that want to employ filthy illegal pieces of ****.

I see. It’s not the conditions at the factories, or the management willing to cut every corner to maximize their profits. It’s the filthy people who work there. I think our previous poster has some issues with bigotry.

I suffered through Baghdad Belly and the Karachi Trots. I never thought I would have to worry about food produced in the US. All of this is very disgusting. We are becoming as filthy as third world countries. Companies who ship contamined E coli infested meats should be forced out of busines. That way, they may be more careful knowing the punishment is severe and monitor their employees.
