Miley Cyrus Death Hoax - Miley Cyrus says she isn’t surprised that she was involved in an Internet death hoax the other day because she has heard those rumors before.

“What happened? Did I die, like, bungee jumping, getting bulldozed, what happened this time?” Cyrus said on E! when asked if she’d heard the latest death rumor.

But Miley says can’t believe someone hacked into her YouTube account and posted a fake video from her pal Mandy Jiroux alleging that she’d been killed by a drunken driver.

“I got hit by a drunk driver!” Cyrus exclaimed. “Ok, good. Wait. What? On my Web page? No. My Web page got hacked?”

Miley said she’s “ticked” at the person who did this. Cyrus seethed, “I’m gonna, like, smack ‘em!”

On the Ellen DeGeneres Show airing Thursday, November 20, 2008, Miley Cyrus proves again that she hasn’t passed away.

“I’m breathing, check my pulse,” she said. “I’m good.”

She says most of the rumors about her “are kind of weird and some of them are kind of funny, some of them are just really random. People will take little bits and pieces of what you say and believe that’s … the truth,” she continued.

“You have to be really careful about the people you trust,” she went on. “I love having just a bunch of friends.”

Including 20-year-old underwear model Justin Gaston.

Cyrus played coy when DeGeneres called Gaston her boyfriend. When Ellen DeGeneres asked her how long they’ve been dating, Cyrus giggled.

“I dont know,” she said. “He’s a singer, he’s really cute, and he’s nice. He’s a Christian, and I really like that.”

Paula Quitting Idol - OK Magazine is reporting that Paula Abdul is planning on quitting American Idol, possibly even before Season 8 concludes.

The Paula Abdul quitting American Idol rumor comes from a source close to the reality judge.

Paula, 45, who has been with the show for seven years, is developing new TV projects and is hoping to “transition” out of the Fox hit.

With her fellow judge, Randy Jackson, telling friends that American Idol has lost its magic, another Paula insider explains, “She knows that every season could be her last. Now she’s got a new secret venture that she’s really excited about.”

And with the addition of fourth judge Kara DioGaurdi for the upcoming eighth season, the judges desk won’t even be left short-staffed if Paula leaves.

Additionally, the suicide death of Abdul’s longtime stalker, Paula Goodspeed, outside the star’s home last week has influenced her decision to quit American Idol after Season 8.
