This was really an amazing clip, and will enjoy seeing it again. Hope he releases it soon. It clearly shows the UFO puncing a hole in the cloud layer, that slowly fills back in. I watched it several times when it was available, and I think it the best footage I have ever seen.

O’hare, pheonix, etc… don’t you think with the “terror” fears today, they would have put this pre-warning system in place already? Why is it not there – or do we believe the obvious which is, “they cannot because they do not know when they are happening”. Which brings up the last point, I challenge them to open up the door to this information in advance – if they are obliged to tell us BEFORE a potential misinterpreted event, then any events that are not pre-annouced are REAL.

Anyway – I am tired of hearing the weather balloon and flare story – if they are so true – why not tell us about them (especially ones as big as in Phoenix) before they happen – the proof. Otherwise we have to assume – it’s a lie…

Concerned Human…

Chemistry favors the pervasiveness of life but something seems to prevent similar development of civilization and technology, despite adequate passage of time. Although I have never seen a UFO myself (I would really love to see one with my own eyes), I feel it is imperative to address questions pertaining to the progression of civilization and technology first in order to deduce the origins of any craft. Why has there been so little technology here after all this time? I think it would be far easier for skeptics to accept the notion of ET visitation if we found evidence of civilization in other terrestrial species (with sufficient periods of persistence in the fossil record and anatomical features ammenable to the manipulation and manufacture of tools).

For example, the intelligence of dolphins is widely accepted. In this case, apparent problem-solving abilities and social nature seem to favor the development of civilization as the lack of appendages for the manipulation of their environments preclude technological development. Conversely, primates have fine motor coordination but lack sufficient intellect to advance beyond using what is immediately available for use as tools. So why are civilization and technology so rare and novel here on our own planet? Why aren’t we finding vehicles left behind by insects or cities constructed by Velociraptors? Are we simply failing to recognize their achievements?

There should be some historical precedent to support the emergence of high technology if it was so pervasive throughout the universe (enough for our own planet to be discovered). Perhaps we are missing something right under our noses. Maybe our desire to reach out to other sentient beings is so great that it supercedes common sense and our preception of reality. But then again… maybe it comes down to simple anatomy and physiology; ultimately biochemistry which, under defined environmental parameters must, by default, lead to the advent of civilized organisms.

If we really are being visited, it would seem reasonable then to determine what those chemical parameters would be so that we could restrict our focus to specific locations in the search for extraterrestrial technology, beings, and civilizations. The absence of evidence is not evidence of absence and perhaps it is time to begin addressing the matter from a new perspective… one in which the evidence is not subject to interpretation or reliant upon our abilities to discern whether the data before us is genuine or not. In chemistry, the reaction either goes or it does not– there is no middle ground. I would be quite happy to see ufology abandon sole reliance upon photographic evidence to sway public oppinion.

In conclusion, it seems premature to draw any conclusions where UFO sightings are concerned given the paucity of supportive evidence which is not subject to individual interpretation. If we truly wish to guage the candidacy of UFOs such as this one from O’Hare, we are obligated to question all that we see and consider the potential possibilities. Whether this is a hoax, a meteorological anomaly, mass hysteria, or genuine, I could not say but given the data I currently have at my disposal, I would have to say that the odds of this particular craft being extraterrestrial in origin are fairly slim. If anyone has additional evidence pertaining to this case, I would be happy to look at it and if the evidence is strong enough, I am willing to revise my conclusion just as any decent scientist would.

Here’s something to chew on that I take from Bill – that they would either want to come down and be on Larry King or not get caught. One thing that is very important when looking at the phenomenon here is that if we are looking at something completely ALIEN, we can’t anthropomorphisize what another intelligent species would do.

IF these are craft piloted or guided by other sentient beings (and not something else like probes – which some may be, govt. secret projects, misinterpreted ‘visions’) then we have to completely let go of our understanding of how these creatures behave.

This is a grossly understated example, but it may help. Our marine scientists and biologists know that whales and dolphins are highly intelligent creatures. We know this because we can watch their behaviour in the wild and put them through tests at marine laboratories. We still cannot, however, beyond training them, understand their language or speak at their level. Some would argue this is because they are animals and we are vastly more intelligent (the opposable thumb theory) or we just haven’t figured out really just what all those clicks/whistles/sounds actually mean.

Now, take it from the standpoint of a race vastly more technologically advanced (and maybe not even in the way WE understand technology – one UFOlogist/source mentioned that a craft he physically witnessed seemed as flimsy as balsa wood and paper, but still managed to fly) and has no concept (really) of human thought patterns – they come here and get caught because getting ‘caught’ is not something that they even conceptualize like us primitive humans still weening ourselves out of our hunter/gatherer instincts. Maybe they are non-emotional, maybe they think only linearly or collectively. Whatever it is, we shouldn’t be sticking human reality to it.

Of course, here come the ignorant comments. Yay.
