30 Rock Cancelled – NBC’s hit show 30 Rock has been cancelled due to the writers strike and the stars refusal to cross the picket lines.

Among the reasons 30 Rock cancelled are:
- They aim to be topical so they aren’t written too far ahead
- They are taped live before a studio audience
- They don’t have a big stockpile of completed episodes
As the writer’s strike drags on, this live taping and short lead time scenario is causing 30 Rock to go on indefinite hiatus. The 30 Rock set is dark and production halted.

Tina Fey is actively on the picket lines – she’s a real script writer for the show as well as playing one on 30 Rock – and the show can’t go on without her and the other script writers.

The last writers strike lasted 22 weeks and this one is bitter enough already to go at least that long before the studios and producers cave on sharing DVD and Internet royalties.
Coincidentally, NBC just debuted their new free tv show video download service this week featuring episodes of…wait for it…30 Rock!
On the last Saturday Night Live before they too went into reruns, they did a great comedy sketch about the writers strike:
Looks like we’ll have to wait until next year to see more of 30 Rock and the lovely Tina Fey.
And that’s the latest news on NBC 30 Rock Cancelled.

I hope those writers stay on strike for ever. American television is pure garbage written by jewish fags for dopey women.

this is false I work on the show and we r waiting until after the writers strike to produce more episodes. There are enough in the can to get through to the first week of 2008 and it is not taped live. Duh and we won the Emmy.

These types of false reports do no one any good and are the reason why blogs have a bad name. Simply put, if you hear a rumor like this and you can’t find anything about it on CNN, Variety, Zap2It.com, or any of the other sites, then 99.99% of the time it’s a lie.
If 30 Rock or any series actually gets cancelled as a result of the strike (and cancellation is not the same as suspending work) it will be reported by CNN and others a long time before blogs like this get the news.
