Woman who snubbed on air proposal slain - Svetlana was a Russian immigrant living in Spain who had taken out a restraining order against Spanish ex-boyfriend Ricardo Navarro.
A television show called “Patricia’s Diary” thought it would be a good idea to have them both on the show so that Ricardo could profess his love for Svetlana and propose to her.
Svetlana snubbed the on air proposal and was slain two days later.
Ricardo Navarro was taken into police custody and charged with her murder.
