Emily Sander aka Zoey Zane, an Internet porn star pictured below, disappeared last Friday after leaving a bar with illegal immigrant Israel Mireles, whose nearby motel room was found soaked in blood the next morning.
Emily Sander, on left in picture above, was last seen Friday night leaving a bar with Israel Mireles, right top. Police said they fear Sander may have been the victim of a violent crime inside a local motel room. They are looking for Mireles and his girlfriend, Victoria Martens, right bottom.
Police believe Mireles killed Emily Sander that night and fled to Texas with his pregnant 16-year old girlfriend, Victoria Martens. Mireles rental car was found near a town in Texas where he has family, but he is thought to have continued on to Mexico.

Emily Sander, the 18-year old Butler Community College student modeled nude for a website, ZoeyZane.com (now offline), for a few extra dollars, but kept it secret from her family.

Nude photos of 18-year-old Emily Sander appeared on a Zoey Zane website before she vanished, and investigators are looking into whether her modelling had anything to do with her disappearance last Friday.
“She enjoyed it. She is a young teenage girl and she wanted to be in the movies and enjoyed movies. She needed the extra money,” Nikki Watson, a close friend of Sander’s at Butler Community College, told The Associated Press on Wednesday. “Nobody in El Dorado knew besides her close friends.”
Sander’s brother, Jacob Sander, confirmed that the nude woman pictured on the site is his sister.
El Dorado police Chief Tom Boren said FBI and state experts on Internet crime have been called in.
“Investigators are aware that Miss Sander was apparently involved in a website situation,” he said. “Allegations that this may factor into her disappearance are being thoroughly investigated.”
Emily Sander aka Zoey Zane was last seen leaving a bar in El Dorado, Kansas about 30 miles from Wichita, with a man identified as Israel Mireles, 24, authorities said. Sander and Mireles had met that night at the bar, according to Watson.
After Mireles did not show up Saturday at his job at an Italian restaurant, his employer went to the motel room where he was staying.
“His motel room was found to appear in great disarray and a large quantity of blood was found in the room,” Boren said. “Bed clothing was found to be missing. The police were called.”
Police suspect Emily Sander was brutally murdered in that motel room. A nationwide manhunt is underway for Israel Mireles and his 16-year-old girlfriend.

It’s very sad. I am a diesginer and I sometimes need models for various modeling work. I am sometimes referred 14, 15 year old girls that want to model for some extra cash. It is up to me to decide wether to use them or not, knowing their age I don’t use them! I think you all should have a look at a real news site or watch the news… This blog is the first place where I have seen anything about the suspect being an “Illegal Immigrant.” People need to remember that just because someone has a Hispanic-sounding name doesn’t mean he or she is illegally in the country.
Also, has anybody considered her now ex-boyfriend? He just broke up with her over Thanksgiving because she revealed that she was doing porn to her entire family. I am certain he was humiliated and maybe even angry.

The news wire story posted above only states that the police are investigating if her nude modelling had anything to do with her death. Maybe the murderer did not know the girl also modeled nude. We will just have to wait to see how this story unfolds. It is a sad fact of life that these atrocities happen to young people all the time. They happen to church-going, squeaky clean people as well.
Yet again, it publicizes the cavaet for young women not to hitchhike, go to strangers houses, etc. on a first date. The family must be hurting pretty bad right now, as do all families who lose a child/sister/brother/friend to violence.

She made bad decisions and paid for it, however, she didn’t deserve to die. We all make bad decisions, though many of us don’t make decisions this bad. I really feel for her family. Thanksgiving and Christmas will never be the same for them. First she chose the Thanksgiving holiday to tell them that she’s doing porn, then she comes up missing, now her murder has presumably been confirmed by the discovery of her body. This whole story is very sad. A lot of girls have dreams to make it big or to be a model or actress. I’ve known many models who have made scandalous decisions trying to follow their dreams. It just does not matter who was wrong or who is to blame now. Hopefully law enforcement will apprehend the person who did this. The fact is Emily was doing what she wanted to do, what she enjoyed. It doesn’t appear she was forced into her modeling work, or that she felt guilty about doing it. It’s just a very sad situation that cannot be undone.

You asked, where were her parents? Good question. It seems that at the early age of 16 she was allowed to do what she pleased, she moved in with her boyfriend at that age. Apparently the parents were of no benefit to her or they would have taken more control over their daughter. I looked at the photo’s and saw only three pictures where she was posing nude, the other shots of her are “cute.” I think the media is blowing the “Porn site” up much larger than it appears to be. As far as the person responsible for her murder, he should by all means be punished. If he is illegal and is found, he should be returned to the states and punished severly for two seperate crimes. Breaking the law merits punishment, in so many cases it seems the punishment is left undone.

Wow! Just a thought here people. Everyone is so eager to place blame because of heard opinions. Opinions are not facts. Let me give you a scenerio……imagine that this girl Emily went to that bar (underage by the way) and after a drink or 2 or even perhaps nothing at this time met this latino guy. They liked eachother. Having a nude website, doing solo work, posing with other female models, does not make anyone a pornstar. I have known amateur models who have websites, they pose nude, but they are not pornstars. More like glamour models. Some are classy sites and some are not so classy. It is possible that this girl would have one day become a pornstar, or maybe not. As I said in an earlier post many girls in college are amateur models. Some have websites and pose nude. All to make some extra money. But they are not pornstars. A lot of people do not approve of this sort of work and that is fine. But it is not illegal. It’s just a very sad story that has transpired in Kansas… and one that will be around for a long time. Now, I am probably going to catch alot of flack for this, but I see some gross miscarriages of justice here and I will address them below:
1) Whoever said the guy was an illegal immigrant? It has been said he has family ties in Texas, and some family ties in Mexico. It has been stated that it is suspected he is trying to cross the border into Mexico, but nowhere have I seen any official statement that he was in this country illegally. Let’s stop using this tragedy to make yet more of a case against illegal immigrants. I wan’t to make it clear, I am not defending immigrants, and I think our entire immigration system is long due for an overhaul, and I believe that illegals should be rounded up and shipped back to where they came from, and only allowed back once they have gone through the proper channels… But I DON’T think this needs to be pinned on them… I have a moral objection to trying people for a crime tey did not commit…
2) Whatever happened to “innocent until proven guilty”? Now I will state, I think he is probably guilty, but that is a matter for a judge and jury to decide, AFTER he is caught. The very fact that he ran says to me he has something to hide, but there may be (and I suspect there is) more to the story than we presently know…
3) This pregnant 16 year old? Where the hell are her parents in all of this? Where were they when their 15/16 year old little girl was out sleeping with a 24 year old? Even if he turns out to be innocent of everything else, maybe they should just arrest him for statutory rape too…
4) Emily had a budding career doing internet porn. So what? Thousands of girls do this for a little extra cash every year. Thousand of twenty something girls put themselves through college dancing at local strip bars and clubs, many become escorts… Face it people, as long as sex sells there will be a demand for it… What Emily did wasn’t illegal, nor particularly immoral… The industry needs to police itself to keep the underage element out… which is harder and harder to do every year as it gets easier and easier for young girls to get a web cam and a private website… We need a return to times when parents cared about what their kids were doing, when they knew who their friends were, when they knew where they went and who they were with… Natlie Holloway is another great example… I feel alot of sorrow and grief for her family, but what was someone too young to drink, on a CHAPERONED trip, doing leaving a hotel bar, drunk, with three men at that hour of the morning…? Where was the chaperone? Didn’t her parents teach her not to go out alone with strange men…?
Wake up America…! Your children need parents, not more TV, not more internet, not more music industry stars telling them wha is cool, these people are under contract, many of them would tell you eating SH*T was cool if they were paid enough… Kids need a parent, preferably both, to be there to teach them that these are the kinds of decisions that can change your whole life… or cost you your life… I just hope that the American public will notice this recent stream of events, wake up, and take notice…

Well i am not Mexican but it bothers me when a Mexican does something like this and then they all get the blame.
Not so long ago in Virginia a young girl was raped, beaten, forced to eat rat droppings, and urinate and deficate on herself for a week. The girl was black and the people that did this were not Mexican (I wont say what they were to avoid bias, but they werent black either). And not one negative comment was made. Despite a-holes like Meriles, Mexicans do work hard, and if you go into a kitchen in any restaurant the cooks are mostly Mexican. I know this as a delivery man for many 4 and 5 star restaurants. I always had to delivery through the kitchen.
We need to leave nationality out of this because they are so many cases like this. We still don’t know who killed that teen in Aruba and it is to believe her killers are white. And it wouldn’t be fare to blame the entire race for one jerk.

I honestly don’t understand you people. This is very sad but… it happens every day. Study your peoples’ histories back to when your Paleo-Indian ancestors crossed the Bering Strait, then slowly migrated across Canada and down to the present day US.
