Comments on: National Treasure 3: Page 47

The ‘Life-altering’ altering comment at the end of the movie indicates to me that it could be the finding of THE FOUNTAIN OF YOUTH or maybe the TREE OF LIFE, although the tree of life scenario takes us out of the National Treasure venue and into the international arena.

Gates also makes the statement at the same time of, ‘I can help you with that’.

Does that statement indicate that Gates already knows something about what is written on page 47?

I believe that Page 47 contains the Gettysburg Address. i looked closely at the film and noticed that 3 phrases jumped off the screen for me. “Fore fathers” “All men are created equal” “Seven years”. I believe that there is something buried beneath the battlefield of Gettysburg that Lincoln had placed underneath.

Why are so many people so concerned if the movie facts are true are not? It afterall a movie. Not all movies are based on facts. The movies are interesting, full of suspense, and fun. What more do you need???

Here is the thing. I loved both movies
I’m real fan of Justin Bartha and Diane Kruger.
I already thought of having a Third movie. but not the whole Plot.

I got an Idea for the begging of the movie.
- Its the end of the party (last scene) from National T. 2
Riley wakes up with a phone call from Ben and riley is with the girl (he has to have his chance also ) the girl
from the party. And Ben wakes up with Abigail on their
house. Ben speaks about the page 47, something that
has to be done that morning and cant wait long.

( im afraid i never studied about the United States ) so i
cant share some ideas

they should focus on either area 51 and the Pyramids. meaning pg 47. the Roswell thing is really cool cause it can open up doors to what the future holds …….? Aliens helped with the development in Egyptian times …..anyone remember Mesopotamia??? then it was not green any more !!!!then the aliens came back with some kind of warning in 1947 if we don’t “CHANGE THE WAY WE POLLUTE IT WILL END 2012″ ……….I don’t know I really think yall should think about all of that international history and bring it back home some how meaning the US……..KEY points 2012 thats real big these days, EGYPT, Area 51 , blue print on how to make hydrogen…………………think FUTURE FOR MAN KIND !!!!What would alter your life??

I think the movie should open with Abigale and Ben getting married and then in the next scenen Ben or the president should be seen opening then reading the news paper and the headline should read “Golden City found by Wilkonson” or should say something about the Wilkonson man who drowned so that the audience knows that he (Ben) made sure not to forget to mention the founder of the Golden Temple or the Golden City. That should not take up a full scene, but then it should show Ben and the president meeting and then discussing page 47. I also like the idea that page number 47 should be about our first president, George Washington, since “George Bush” ( the president in the 2nd National Treasure movie) said that he was interested in our first president. Therefore I think it would make since to have page number 47 have something to do with George Washington. Riley should bring along the girl that he met in the @nd movie near the end of the movie.

Don’t know if this was mentioned but I think without a doubt it will be in America and it will have to do with ROSWELL 1947. Watch number two again and you will see a lot of suggestive things about the Roswell alien stuff. The President will want Gates to look into it and remember he told the pres that pg 47 was “life changing” and his also spied something about it in the pres. book.

Terrel23, i saw the 51 too. The words are too small to make out so i cant tell you whats on pg 47. Something tells me abrahams lincolns viceprez wrote this to tell who killed prez libcoln. Also i dont think itll be a bout 9/11 because it involves the countries iran and iraq etc. And sense our country is fighting them right now i think they would be scaredto make a movie on that. Area 51? I dont think so. Because race to witch mountain. I honestly think this mivie will startt from the 1800s to the 1900s. Like start off with george washington up to the great chicago firee or mabe about martin luther king jr. I do wish i could read what was on page 47. If any one knows please comment peace!

i think you should keep it in america. do you know how many kids are looking into our own history since th nt movies came out. the indiana jones movies were great but the last was just to unbelievable. lets stick to the states.

You have your story line wrong for NT2. The story goes that Estaban saved the king of the local tribe. They were referred to as natives, not specifically American Indians. In return for this act, he was shown the city of Cibola.

Remember that even though the movies have some historical bases, they are movies. There is not a hidden treasure room under Wall Street either. The idea is for Disney to make money. The nice thing is that there is historical fact conveyed in the movies also.

I like the idea of going international. Linda’s idea of Ben and Abigail getting married and running into something on their honey moon is great. That could even be tied in to page 47. When you think about it, both the first and second movies have international ties. The masonic treasure certainly wasn’t an “american” treasure and the second treasure took them to Paris and London.

I look forward to it, whatever it is!

Nat Treasure 3 should be about OIL, the Civil War, A future look ahead in the 1860’s a discovery that has been hidden by the govt and it was found down in Georgia during Sherman’s march and wisked away to DC for safe keeping, then lost…. This combines with a “LIFE CHANGING EVENT” like running out of OIL,,,,,Now thats a MOVIE!!! Nick cage and the hot blnod—Kruger should do it again!!!

Ben (Cage) wants to take it international-I have the perfect solution. Movie should start out with Ben & Abigail getting married. Since she is from Germany, their honeymoon would be spent there. Then, of course, they would run across something, like art treasure that was hidden during World War I (not WWII). That would give it international flavor, and a whole new script. Plus, since this is a Disney movie, they should be married and not just living together. Then of course, they would recruit the rest of the team, dad & mom, Riley & the new girl he met at the end of NT2. It could also bring in Abigail’s family. And the villian’s of course, would be some sort of international art thieves….maybe even Ian & company!!!

I come from the Thomas Family, My uncle is Ben, so I know whats in page 47 and why the president was interested. It is abour the end of the world of course, not another golden city, not treasure, that was the hunting of first and sequel. Nothing to do with the president right.
So It might have to do with life in other planets and might connect with the Mayas in Mexico. If the writers are in strike, let them have permanent vacation. No body is indispensable, nobody. Get the fans what the want. Get the movie out. Page 47 coming this 2012…. to a theater near your end of the world calendar….

i believe ive discoved the fountain of youth, the clue is benjamin franklin on the 100 dollar bill pressing his lips
doing this right produces endorphins

basically press both lips when relaxing and not moving

when moving or focusing on something do not press lips together

and do not bite lower lip as it will protrude and you will look like bubba gump in forest gump

horny guy/girl kind of weird, ah anyway what ever the new movie is about you have to think of it in the prespective of the president, something that intrest him, SO far, what we know of him is that he likes washington, and Lincoln… anyone think they can build upon this ?

Another thing you cant speculate on what is on pg 47 based upon simple hints in the secound movie, because the simple fact is they didn’t write it yet at that time

With the money the second one made, there’s little doubt that Disney is planning a National Treasure
3. The question is where else can they take it? How many times can Ben Gate’s family be coincidentally involved in the pivotal events of history before the whole thing gets a bit ridiculous?

That problem may be solved in the third movie by ditching the “national” part of National Treasure and taking the gang outside the country to hunt for other lost treasures. That’s already been hinted at by Nic Cage, who several months ago said he wanted the next movie to be more international. Now the guys over at Jim Hill claim to have the scoop on what exactly Gates will be hunting next. Their guess? Atlantis.

They claim there’s already a brief plot synopsis for the sequel floating around at Disney. In it the Gates family goes to Easter Island to hunt for Atlantis and the perfect, clean, power source which was supposed to have powered the legendary sunken city. Their goal is to use it to end global warming, which would mean Disney could preach to us about reducing our carbon emissions while at the same time throwing Nic Cage off a cliff.

To me, the whole fun of National Treasure has always been the way it explores American history and makes it come alive. If that’s what they’re doing, then they’re totally abandoning that. Not only are they ditching the notion of looking for lost American treasures, they’re tossing history overboard as well in favor of hunting down fairytales, myths, and fantasy.
