Open theist Dr. Greg Boyd of the Christus Victor Ministries, one of God’s Christian Warriors and featured in the TV special of the same name, is against homosexuality because he believes it’s a sin, but he also believes the Bible doesn’t differentiate amongst sins and one sin is as bad as another.
Greg Boyd is a graduate of Yale Divinity School and Princeton Theological Seminary and was a professor of theology for 16 years at Bethel University. He is the founder and senior pastor of Woodland Hills Church, an evangelical megachurch in St. Paul, MN.

Dr. Boyd was interviewed by CNN’s Christiane Amanpour for the CNN special, God’s Warriors, which aired August 23. Greg’s segment in this documentary was fairly small overall, but important in the points he was making.
You can view segments of the interview here on CNN Christian Warriors.
Here is a video of Dr. Gregory Boyd as he argues from Scripture and history, that whenever the church gets too close to any political or national ideology, it is disastrous for the church and harmful to society. The talk is from his book, ”The Myth Of A Christian Nation”:
You can read more of his thoughts on Random Reflections, the blog of Dr. Greg Boyd.

It’s refreshing to see someone speaking truth instead of getting a crowd worked up about their religion. Everything I’ve heard from this guy makes perfect sense. Christians should listen to him.

At long last someone talking some sence and truth. I’ve had a real problem with the “Moral Majority” and so called christian rhetoric, for me the gospel etc is simple! It’s all about love! Love your neighbour/enemy etc. Who did Jesus hang out with? the outcasts of the day, tax collectors, hookers etc. as he said its the sick who need the doctor! Dr Boyd is correct sin is sin - no levels on it, and God hates the sin but loves the sinner. As far as i can see the gospels were about forgiveness, love and tollerance, and christians are called to be lights in the world - not a pain in the rear! Not promoting hate, in fact these rich republican pious moralists should look a bit closer and see there likeness to the pharasee’s and what Jesus said about the rich! So ok Rich neo-con evangelicals, WWJD? Its clear in the gospels what you should do, give up your riches to the poor, just take your clothes and preach to the poor and heal the sick and broken hearted, not spout hate, segregation and piety!
One thing I noticed when in the US was so called christians saying things like ‘I’m no bleeding heart liberal’ but the fact is if you actually had a christian heart it should be bleeding, you should be compassionate not judgemental, that what Jesus would be like! any responce please feel free to jonelraiz@hotmail.com
