Tumor Man – Huang Chuncai, a 31-year old Chinese man with a giant facial tumor seen in pictures below, has undergone an operation to remove a 25-pound tumor from his face, five months after another 33-pound tumor was removed.
The giant facial tumors afflicting “Tumor Man” Huang Chuncai result from a disease known as neurofibromatosis, a genetic disorder of the nervous system that primarily affects the development and growth of nerve tissues.
The tumors began growing at age four, eventually growing so large they distorted his face, giving him a facial appearance similar to Jabba The Hutt of Star Wars fame.
It grew larger at an ever faster rate, blocking his left eye, pushing his left ear to shoulder level, knocking out his teeth and deforming his backbone.
Because the facial tumor restricted his ability to eat, Huang is only 4.5 feet tall and had trouble speaking, hearing and eating before the surgery.
Here, the tumor man is wheeled into surgery. More than 10 doctors and nurses took part in the hours-long surgery that removed the first 33-pound tumour in August, 2007.
Huang Chuncai underwent a second operation on January 7th, 2008 to remove an additional 25 pounds of facial tumor.
Xu Kecheng, president of the hospital, said the surgeons’ biggest challenge was to avoid massive bleeding because there were large blood vessels in Huang’s tumor.

One the doctors who operated on Huang, Niu Lizhi, said the surgical team prevented bleeding by freezing the tumour.
“I was so nervous and felt so much pressure during my brother’s operation,’ his brother Huang Weicai said. ” When I saw that the tumour had been cut off I could relax. It was more than 10 kg, unbelievable.”

Niu said Huang is being closely monitored and that he expects the patient to be discharged in about a month.

I hope that jeff&loren are kidding because otherwise what the hell is wrong with you? This man was born this way and normal people would feel some sort of compassion for this poor man.
How would you like to go through this? There are actually a good number of people that suffer from this condition though usually not this bad. Usually people that have this have 6 or more cafe late colored birthmarks on their body. So if you do go to the doctors just to make sure you don’t have this.
People should be happy with they way they look and be grateful they don’t have to suffer like this poor guy. I feel really bad for him.
Instead everyone is concerned with looking like a porn star/celebrity with their fake boobs, fake hair, fake tan, fake white teeth, and so on. Just be happy with how you look because someone will love you no matter what.
I still like to believe there is some humanity left in this world but then people like jeffloren were born and it makes me give up hope.

Well – i really feel bad for this poor man ! I’m questioning why he wasn’t treated earlier !
