Dad Throws Kids Off Bridge – Lam Luong, pictured below, confessed Tuesday night to throwing his four kids off the Dauphin Island Bridge near Mobile, Alabama in an act of revenge against his estranged wife.
All the children the dad threw off the bridge are missing and presumed dead: four-month old Danny Luong, one-year-old Lindsey Luong, two-year old Hannah Luong, and three-year old Ryan Phan whom Lam Luong and his wife had adopted.
The search began last night after investigators say Lam Luong confessed to throwing his children off the bridge early Monday morning. Police were alerted when his estranged wife reported the children missing.
Lam Luong originally told police that a woman who was babysitting the children had refused to give them back and was taken in for questioning after the lie was discovered.
Bayou La Batre police and Mobile County District Attorney John Tyson told reporters last night that Luong has a criminal history for cocaine possession.
A flotilla of boats including a Coast Guard cutter and a rescue helicopter are searching the waters around Dauphin Island today to recover the children’s bodies.
The Dauphin Island Bridge soars 80 feet above the water as it connects coastal Alabama to a barrier island located about three miles south of Mobile Bay in the Gulf of Mexico.

Bind his arms, his legs w/chains, stick a gag in his mouth, drive him to the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco and throw him off of the bridge. Do not send the Coast Guard for at least 20 minutes. Eye for an Eye. Bloody bastard, I hope he rots in hell.

I’m with you Liz but up to a point. Yeah, bind his arms, his legs w/chains, stick a gag in his mouth, and throw him off of the bridge, but let him almost drown and pull him up revive him if needed. Then do it again the next day and then the next. He should experience that every day for the rest of his life not just once.

either give him the death penalty, or someone in jail will take care of it. child murderers are not exactly popular in jail. absolute animal, and i’m sure our justice system wont do enough to ruin the rest of his days

Search Finds One Child’s Body So Far
(AP) – MOBILE, Ala. – A duck hunter found a body Saturday of one of four children allegedly thrown from a coastal bridge by their father, raising hopes that the other bodies will be recovered, a sheriff said.
A search for the children — ranging in age from a few months to 3 years — began Tuesday near the mouth of Mobile Bay after prosecutors said the father, Lam Luong, confessed.
About 9 a.m. Saturday, a duck hunter found the body of an infant about five miles west of the bridge in a marshy area.
Mobile County Sheriff Sam Cochran said a chaplain informed the children’s family of the discovery Saturday morning. Their mother, 23-year-old Kieu Phan, had gone with Luong to report them missing Monday evening.
Cochran said searchers using sonar technology saw images Friday that they believed were three bodies.
“Currents were so strong divers were unable to get to the location,” Cochran said. Divers re-entered the water Saturday beneath blue skies.
Luong, 37, a shrimp boat worker, was being held without bond on four counts of capital murder. If convicted, he could be sentenced to death or life in prison without parole.
District Attorney John Tyson Jr. said Luong had confessed to throwing Ryan Phan, 3, Hannah Luong, 2, Lindsey Luong, 1, and Danny Luong, 4 months, off the three-mile-long bridge after an argument with his wife.
Luong later recanted, claiming two Asian women took the children and never returned them. But a witness saw Luong on the bridge with the children, and another saw him leave the area without the children, Cochran said Friday.

Second Child’s Body Found
(AP) – MOBILE, Ala. – The body of a 3-year-old boy was recovered Sunday in the search for four children allegedly thrown from a coastal bridge by their father, the sheriff said.
The body was found near shore by a search team, close to where a duck hunter found the body of the boy’s infant brother on Saturday about five miles west of the bridge in a marshy area, Mobile County Sheriff Sam Cochran said.
The 3-year-old’s body was spotted near shore in Bayou La Fourche Bay, about three miles west of where the infant was found, authorities said.
Cochran said the remaining two bodies could be in the same area or shifted by current closer to the Alabama-Mississippi line. The search will resume Monday and is expected to concentrate on the marshes along the shore.

If there was ever a justification for the death penalty, it would be this case. These children were innocent victims, did nothing to deserve the fate handed to them by someone they loved and trusted. He finally breaks down and confesses, speaks to an attorney and then recants. He isn’t a man, he’s a coward and he deserves everything that he has coming to him.

This infuriates me. I think it would not do him justice to be tortured beyond human comprehension. That is an animal who would kill innocent babies as an act of revenge. What those kids did to him? Coward dog…… curse his soul!

That is horrible – I can’t beleive I didn’t hear of this earlier!!! Same type of thing happened here in Australia where a father threw his daughter of the Westgate Bridge Melbourne – what the hell goes threw their minds!! I’m saddened by it all
