Tom Brady Cast - Patriots quarterback Tom Brady, pictured below in a walking cast outside Gisele Bundchen’s New York brownstone, says his foot injury is not serious.

Here’s the Tom Brady cast photo of him limping toward Gisele’s place:

During his weekly radio show on Boston’s WEEI, Tom Brady didn’t deny that he suffered a foot injury during Sunday’s win over the San Diego Chargers in the AFC Championship Game.

“Ah, you know, there’s always bumps and bruises. I’ll be ready for the Super Bowl,” Brady said. “I’m not worried about that. I’m not missing this one. I’d have to be on a stretcher to miss this one. There will be treatment this week. In games like this, you get a little nicked up. It’s nothing serious.”

Apparently not, because Tom and Gisele Bundchen headed out to dinner Monday night with Brady wearing cowboy boots.

Patriots spokesman Stacey James told the Associated Press late Monday that the team will have no further comment on the Tom Brady walking cast photos.

WebMD says these are walking cast type injuries:

  • Achilles tendon
  • Plantar fasciitis
  • Broken foot bone or toe

I’d have to go with plantar fasciitis as the reason Tom Brady is hurt enough to be using a walking cast even temporarily. Wearing the boot keeps the foot rigid and allows the injured foot tendon to heal in the stretched position.

Plantar fasciitis responds well to ultrasound treatment and the pain fades after you start moving around, so the Tom Brady foot injury shouldn’t be that big a problem in the Super Bowl.

And that’s the latest news on the Tom Brady Cast.
