Brenda Ann Mitchell – Accused rapist Brenda Ann Mitchell remains in jail in Torrance, CA, accused of statutory rape of a 16-year old boy.
Police charged Brenda Ann Mitchell last Friday with five felony charges – one count of unlawful sexual intercourse with a minor more than three years younger than her and four counts of oral copulation with a person under the age of 18.
A Torrance, California judge set Mitchell’s bail for the sex crime charges at $200,000 and the petite, blonde housewife remains behind bars awaiting a preliminary hearing on February 8th.
Prosecutors told the court that Mitchell had sexual intercourse with the unidentified Torrance teenager on September 21, 2007 and then engaged in oral sex with the boy later that same month, once more in October and November, and one more time in early December.
“At this point in the investigation we strongly feel this is the only victim,” Torrance police spokesman Dave Crespin said.
Authorities did not disclose how Mitchell, a petite blue-eyed blonde, and the boy knew each other, but he is reportedly the envy of every other teenager in Torrance.
“We’re not going to get into the actual particulars of the case,” Crespin said. “We’re just going to wait while it goes through the judicial process before we talk about it publicly.”
Torrance police declined to release a booking photo of alleged sex offender Brenda Ann Mitchell, thereby disappointing “the Internets” as George Bush would say, to no end.
As a substitute, here’s a picture of Debra Lafave, another petite, blue-eyed blonde previously charged with underage sex with a minor. Maybe Brenda Mitchell will follow suit…

It was not an anonnymous tipster-it was her alcholic husband lookimg for his ego and control over her life and it backfired on him! He is very scary-he has guns and is unstable……..sad situation for anyone.

wrong..the teenage boy (her son’s bestfriend) involved was overheard bragging about it at school which notified the authorities.
True her husband is not coping well. He no longer has guns in the house. He was a champion skeet shooter.
The family has been distroyed. Brenda is now out of jail and hounding him for money.

Brenda Ann Mitchell pleaded no contest to oral copulation of a minor a week after she was charged and was immediately sentenced to jail, a year of probation and 45 days of community service, according to Sandi Gibbons, a spokeswoman for the District Attorney’s Office.
In exchange for her plea, prosecutors dropped three counts of oral copulation and one charge of unlawful sexual intercourse with a minor, Gibbons said.
Must have gotten out early for bad behavior.

I am Brenda’s soon to be ex- husband, say whatever rotten things about me that you wish, whatever makes you feel good about yourself.
I never turned in my wife & would not, I almost got arrested for not turning her in because the police said I was a witness to a felony crime and could be considered an accomplis and should have turned her in but understood why I didn’t.
For the record, what does it matter who turned her in? If she didn’t break the law, there would be no problem.
The police nor the BATF have an issue with me or my firearm collection. I didn’t break any laws and my record is clean, I removed them from the house so that my felon wife can return to the house. not exactly fair is it?

based on Brenda’s foolish & selfish decision.
You may find adultery acceptable but I don’t. The family has been torn apart, and yes, it is very sad.

I strongly agree with doubtful. Who ever that is knows the truth. Mrs. Mitchell did what she did and we know it was against the law, however; A real man would have never taken a mother away from her children Especially a man who is a raging alcoholic and couldn’t handle being a dad after he got custody of the children. Instead he chose to drink to the point that the police were involved and CPS had to give the kid’s to a relative to raise. What a Father! He proceeded to loose his job, wife, children, beautiful home and run from his problems to his sister. How that would help him is to be seen because she is a drunk like he is. Put the vampire in charge of the blood bank. If he had been a real man, he would have sued for divorce, gotten custody of at least his biological son and moved on with his life. Alcohol started all of this. Had he been a husband instead of a drunk Mrs.Mitchell wouldn’t have fallen into the arms of a 17 year old as he alleged. And the word is out that he turned her in straight from a source at the Torrance PD. That boy would have never told a soul. The only way the police found out was her drunk, big mouth husband who doesn’t remember turning her in which may be why he denies it to this day. I hope he is enjoying his life because its better he is no longer in So Cal. Both boy’s want their Mom and want nothing to do with him. As far as hounding him for money… she needs to support his child and that is all she wants. If he doesn’t come through (chances are he wont as he is already proven he is a dead beat Dad) she will do it herself with the help of family and friends!

everybody makes mistakes. brenda is trying to move on with her life the best way she can and since louis has done nothing but destroy everything she has, that’s been a bit difficult. but instead of drinking her life away and drowning in self pity, she’s taking the high road and is trying to find a job and support her boys in any way she can. louis is the saddest example of a father i think i’ve ever seen. he pays absolutely no attention to his son, yet claims to “love him”. reality check: he wants nothing to do with you. the thought of seeing you makes him cringe. please…grow up and move on! stop obsessing over brenda and realize that things will NEVER BE THE SAME. louis has messed up big time and nobody will every forgive him for what he’s done. as for gayle…stop popping pills and get your facts straight before accusing people. brenda doesn’t “hound” anybody for money. maybe your brother shouldn’t have emptied her bank account!! and by the way, he will one day be FORCED to pay her money so he might as well get used to it. so please get a life and stop putting your nose where it doesn’t belong.

Correction, the boy was 16 not 17 & when I speak to Jake, he loves me and can’t wait to see me. You need to get it through your head that I did not turn her in. She had already been turned in when the Torrance came to me for the evidence of the FELONY crime. Had I not turned in the evidence, I would have been arrested for conspiracy. You plead drama or have read to manny romantic dramas” How on gods green earth does a 38 year old married women,well supported “Fall” into the arms of a 16 year old….her own sons best friend? Whats the kid with one of the lowest grade point averages and most likely will fail do? She was not a dead beat mom for 9 of my sons years or 15 of her sons years but she is now and will always carry a rerrible labe for the rest of her life. She cannot attend school functions, my kid has to suffer that his mom is a sex offender. Her decision was once agian, foolish, selfish and tarnished the rest of her life. She can’t get a job.
I miss my family and all of the good years we had, just not the last one.

Louise, the only thing you miss is your next drink. Admit that you are an out of control drunk and get some help. Maybe someday you can have a relathionship with your son, if you can just accept you have a problem and stop blaming everyone else for your screw ups. Getting a Nordstroms credit card, and many others, providing a nice “lifestyle”, and bringing home the “rent” or driving a nice car isn’t love. What is your real definition of “love”? Maybe abandoning your son and thinking he can’t wait to see you? How about responding to your step son? You can’t buy love and you can’t buy respect. Have a nice day.

Because I find it surprising he seems to have forgotten I raised and paid his way for 14 years. He never had a problem with me in the past. When I saw his input I guess I realized this is an excercise in futility.
Looks like a wast of time, this occurred a long time ago and the only thing anyone agree’s to do is…. disagree.

What kind of mother sleeps with her son’s friend? It’s sick!! If her marriage was so bad, why not leave him? She is just as sick as her ex-husband. I can’t imagine my son being okay with me sleeping with his friend. This moose kid needs to get away from the mind control of his parental unit. She is no mother. She couldn’t have been more selfish. That’s always been her style. Brenda is NO saint!! The way she has treated people over the years is just catching up to her.

I find this whole situation very sad for everyone but mostly those two boys who didn’t ask for any of this to happen yet they will forever suffer from it So she made a terrible terrible decision which affected alot of lives who cares if her husband drinks is someone trying to blame him for her choices? I hope that all parties involved can get on with their lives and not forget (kids) and just learn to forgive —– We are not here to judge —– we will be judged according when the time is right.

I heard that Louis Mitchell was killed in a automobile crash. Does anyone know if this is true, and if so are there any links with any news articles, etc?

true. it was in the south east somewhere. he ran off the road & landed in a body of water, where i believe the cause of death was drowning. not sure about any articles or links.
