Mick Jagger Hells Angels Murder Plot – A BBC documentary claims the Hells Angels plotted to murder Mick Jagger in 1969 after being angered by his remarks about the Altamont concert security fiasco.

According to ex-FBI agent Mark Young, the Mick Jagger Hells Angels murder plot developed from bad blood over Jagger’s vow never to use the Hells Angels for security again after 18-year old Meredith Hunter was stabbed to death right in front of the stage at the Altamont concert on December 6, 1969.

In an interview for the BBC’s “The FBI at 100″ documentary, former agent Mark Young detailed the Mick Jagger assassination plot as a seaborne assault by several Hells Angels members targeting Jagger at the singer’s Long Island estate.

“The Hells Angels were so angered by Jagger’s treatment of them that they decided to kill him,” said Tom Mangold, the presenter of the BBC program.
“The boat was hit by a storm and all of the men were thrown overboard,” ex-FBI agent Mark Young says in the documentary. The Hells Angels all survived, but apparently made no other attempt on Mick Jagger’s life.

The death of Meredith Hunter (pictured above in a green suit) was the climactic moment of the rock documentary Gimme Shelter. The Hells Angels motorcycle gang was angered by Jagger’s refusal to believe they acted in his defense after Hunter brandished a gun and loudly proclaimed he was going to “kill Jagger”.

The Hells Angels security at Altamont was so crazy that earlier in the day they knocked Marty Balin, the Jefferson Airplane’s lead singer, unconscious with a pool cue during the Airplane’s performance.

This video clip from “Gimme Shelter” shows Hunter’s murder, but it also proves that Hunter had brandished a gun – either in his own defense in the sea of chaos in front of the stage or in the threatened murder of Mick Jagger that the Hells Angels claimed – just before being stabbed to death.

Hells Angels member Alan Passaro was charged with the murder of Meredith Hunter, but was found not guilty on a plea of self defense.

They’re lucky Keith Richards wasn’t there because he would’ve busted em upside the head with a beer bottle like he did that guy onstage…

I guess Meridith must have forseen something because he had a gun on him. How niave of him. A black man brings a white woman to a Rolling Stones Concert with Hell’s Angels as attendants. This was a recipe for disaster. Very sad.
Clearly Meridith for defending himself. He was attacked earlier and only pulled that gun in the final attack on him. I wonder if the killer has any remorse now 40 years later. I wonder if he is even alive.

I was there at the concert. That was the most stupid thing a band or group could have done. I was a little further back during the concert as we were just below the towers where the hassel had started of dudes clinmimg the scaffolds and both biker clubs were attempting to get people down when they said ”
The
Angles wouldn’t let him do that and he went up the side of the scaffold with knife. It was crazy that weekend we had totry to catch a ride from truckers stacking people on their truck beds. We had to hike and hitch 10 miles just to get in. It will always be with us.

I’m 64. I was born and raised in East Oakland, California in Ralph “Sonny” Barger’s neighborhood, and I’m very familiar with the antics of the hells angels. I was at Altamont, and all I can say is;
The BEST hells angel
Is a DEAD hells angel
RIP Meredith

Gayle – no the killer, Alan Passaro, is not alive today. He was found dead floating in the Anderson Reservoir, near Morgan Hills, CA, with $10,000 in his pocket on March 29, 1985. (Age 36) His apartment looked as if he had been abducted.

Where did you find the story? I tried to get some additional details about it, but I wasn’t able to.
