Josiah Leming – American idol fan favorite Josiah Leming, the last one cut after this season’s Hollywood week, has signed a recording contract with Warner Brothers.
In case you don’t remember, Josiah Leming was the songwriter who auditioned with his own material and was featured as the guy living out of his car while trying to make it in showbiz.
Simon Cowell was a big fan of Josiah and predicted he’d be successful in the music business. Funny how that prediction is already coming true.
Leming lost out to Colton Berry on the very last cut, and of course, Colton Berry was the first one cut in the next week’s show.

Josiah Leming is currently doing club gigs – see video below – and working on honing his music while Warner Brothers lines up producers and session musicians to work with the tempermental songwriter.

Josiah’s risky move of performing without the band at the end of American idol’s Hollywood week helped him make the top 50 cutoff, but led to his being cut by the judges in the top 24 “likeability” decisions.

Josiah’s music has won him a lot of fans on MySpace and on YouTube, where his songs seem to strike a chord with music lovers seeking original artists instead of the ususal commercial pre-packaged dregs.
