Is this u on happyyoungpeople.com? If it is, then you’re in big trouble because they’ve got more than your picture from your MySpace profile, they’ve got your identity as well.

HappyYoungPeople.com is yet another in a long string of phishing sites currently conning MySpace users to visit the site. Then, they trick you into giving up your email address and password to find out who posted pictures of you there.

Surprise! There are no picture there, there are no videos there, the only thing waiting for you behind that login is a trojan virus that will download spyware on your computer to steal your passwords, social security number, bank account information, and anything else valuable it can find.

Plus, you’ll be surprised to find that all your MySpace friends have now gotten an identical “is this u on happyyoungpeople.com” bulletin from your MySpace account.

Joy, joy, joy! Now what do you do?

Here’s a list of phishing bulletins warning about similar sites:

These sites have fooled a lot of people because it grabs your MySpace profile pic when you click the link, so you think it’s really got a profile of you. If you entered your email and password on any of these sites, then change your password.

Tell your friends you got the bulletin from to change their password too because these guys will keep using their MySpace login to send more spam bulletins and your profile and theirs could get deleted for spamming!

Another known phishing site from the same group of spammers is explainthese.com, so watch out for all those as well as the happyyoungpeople.com site.
