Randi Rhodes Suspended – Video clip of Randi Rhodes tirade that got her her suspended from her Air America show for calling Hilary Clinton and Geraldine Ferraro f-ing whores at a comedy appearance in San Francisco.
So, why was Randi Rhodes suspended if Air America knew it was comedy appearance hosted by Clear Channel talk station KKGN (960AM)?
In a statement posted on the Air America website, Charlie Kireker said, ”Air America encourages strong opinions about public affairs,’ but does not condone such abusive, ad hominem language by our Hosts.”

In her profanity-laced standup comedy bit in front of an appreciative audience, Rhodes gets in some pretty good jabs at both Hilary Clinton and Geraldine Ferraro, repeatedly referring to them as whores and lampooning Clinton’s Bosnia sniper fire gaffe.
The main reason Randi Rhodes got suspended seems to be that both of the women are liberal Democratic icons. and the resulting media firestorm required some kind of punitive response.
Air America host Sam Seder will fill in for Randi Rhodes for today’s show and a longer term suspension is possible.
