In a story broken by the National Enquirer, the Vanessa Hudgens scandal broke when a third party got a hold of some naked pics of the young starlet. Apparently, the photos were a misguided attempt to keep the attention of boyfriend Zac Efron, not that she’d have any trouble keeping any guys eyes focused on her in this pic:

“Vanessa took some suggestive shots of herself in the buff as a surprise for Zac,” a source told the National Enquirer. Now the scandal is threatening to destroy the “High School Musical” phenomenon sweeping America, Enquirer reports.
The Enquirer reports that it has learned that a third party has obtained the sexy pictures that were meant just for Vanessa and Zac. “Vanessa’s only 18, so she had no idea how her flirtatious act could threaten the future of the multimillion-dollar plans Disney has for the show,” said the source. “She just wanted to keep Zac interested.”
But the brunette beauty’s naughty photos could throw Disney’s massive marketing and production plans into complete turmoil.
“It’s a kids’ show, aimed a children, teenagers and their parents and starring a bunch of cute, wholesome youngsters,” said a show insider. “Naked pictures of one of the stars would be catastrophic. “It could bring the whole ‘High School Musical’ franchise to its knees.”

These arguments were an absolute joy to read because close to all of them held any weight. ‘It didn’t happen because I say so’ doesn’t quite cut it. Learn how to construct an argument. First off she is a Disney star. She isn’t actually wholesome or pure that is simply the image Disney wanted you to see. Disney is one of the biggest producer of children’s program in the United States, and possibly the world as well. They succeed at this by not hiring ex coke whores that may be good with kids, they hire a young desperate child star and shape them. Take any class in media studies before you respond. Also reading interviews in Tiger Beat or where ever you got your sources hold no weight either.
Vanessa Hudgens is going to decline taking or being apart of the pictures of course because if she didn’t she would never get hired by Disney again (or possibly any other company). There are many rules when it comes to working with the Mouse, and it pretty much comes down to you don’t want to fuck with Disney (which explains why you don’t see Disney stars in any other productions).
And to draw attention to “some guy’s” response. She is not a talented singer. I am not one to boost about opinion based statements except in this case there it is not an opinion it is just complete bullshit. Talent comes from years and years of practice. Vanessa Hudgens did not write any of those hit songs she sings. Also millions of dollars went into both High School Musical and here album. A portion of that went towards making an average girl with a pretty face and a good agent into a star. You can hear on the recordings the vocal processor and the auto-tune plug-ins. Reward the mixer, engineers, musicians, producers, and the song writers not Vanessa Hudgens.
The only thing I do agree with is that fact that Nicole pointed out. And that is why girls feel they must send naked pictures to their boyfriends. It just shows the power men still have over women in this country. Everything we see from an early age reinforces this same ridiculous image, and it just isn’t right. It is alright if you want to live your life that way, but not given a choice to live that way is not fair. All I have to say is to anyone supporting Vanessa Hudgens through this “tough” time needs to get a set of new role models. Ones that are not media based if possible because a you will never have a chance at fame and you will be that girl sending naked photos of yourself to some guy you “think” you love.

That said, one has to wonder where the pictures emerged from? If they were intended for one person, how is it that someone else had them?

Well…this is not a scandal, it’s real. I’m not a Disney channel fan at ALL. But again, this girl is only eighteen. Young children will make mistakes. She apologized to her fans, and really it wasn’t her intention to make the pictures public. To be honest, most of this is just the media’s exaggeration. Admittedly, she shouldn’t have been taking nude pictures, but it was an innocent mistake, and should be forgiven. This girl doesn’t deserve to be compared to Paris Hilton, who’s a woman and knows what she’s doing. Vanessa Hudgens was just doing it for her boyfriend, and really, there’s not that much wrong with that. Kids will be kids.

To the above people that think that your significant other will be attracted to you forever regardless of what you do… you have obviously never been in a relationship for very long. Long term relationships require WORK, and that includes rekindling the fires once in awhile. To be honest, I have two points to make about this, but before I state them, let it first be established that I don’t like Vanessa Hudgens. Personally (and I know a bunch of you disagree), I think she’s really fake and her voice is overrated. And when I read all the comments from people saying that she’s their “idol,” I sigh about the fact that our society can’t find better role models.
With that said, I move to my two points:
1. Yes, what she does in her own personal life is her own business. If she feels she needs to take “naughty” pictures to keep Zac interested, then power to her. That is her own choice.
2. HOWEVER, she of all people should realize that she has to live her life under a microscope — that was the choice she made when she became a Disney star. And if she’s going to continuously claim to be a “good role model” for children, then she should be aware that even the slightest mistake, if caught, will be blown out of proportion.
Overall, I do feel sorry for her, but I do not believe that she is entirely blameless. Everything has a consequence…and unfortunately for her, she has to learn that the hard way.
