American Idol Season 8 Schedule – Here is the TV schedule for season 8 of American Idol from its January 13th debut all the way to the May finale.

The eighth season kicks off with three weeks of audition episodes, featuring tryouts held in East Rutherford, NJ, Jacksonville, FL, Kansas City, MO, Louisville, KY, Phoenix, AZ, Salt Lake City, UT, San Francisco, CA and San Juan, Puerto Rico.
AMERICAN IDOL AUDITIONS:
January 13 – Tuesday, 8:00 EST, 7:00 CST
January 14 – Wednesday, 8:00 EST, 7:00 CST
January 20 – Tuesday, 8:00 EST, 7:00 CST
January 21 – Wednesday, 8:00 EST, 7:00 CST
January 27 – Tuesday, 8:00 EST, 7:00 CST
January 28 – Wednesday, 8:00 EST, 7:00 CST
January 29 – Thursday, 8:00 EST, 7:00 CST
The lucky auditioners who get the judges’ approval then move on to the “Hollywood Round” where contestants vie for a semifinalist position during the next phase of Idol Season 8.
HOLLYWOOD ROUND:
February 3 – Tuesday, 8:00 EST, 7:00 CST
February 4 – Wednesday, 8:00 EST, 7:00 CST
February 10 – Tuesday, 8:00 EST, 7:00 CST
February 11 – Wednesday, 8:00 EST, 7:00 CST
After Simon, Randy, Paula and new judge Kara DioGuardi announce the Top 36 semifinalists on February 11th, it will then be up to viewers to decide who moves forward in the competition during the three weeks of semifinals.
12 different semifinalists will perform each night in the hopes of moving on to the Top 12.

February 17 – Tuesday, 8:00 EST, 7:00 CST – Top 3 of 12 advance
February 18 – Wednesday, 8:00 EST, 7:00 CST – Results
February 24 – Tuesday, 8:00 EST, 7:00 CST – Top 3 of 12 advance
February 25 – Wednesday, 8:00 EST, 7:00 CST – Results
March 3 – Tuesday, 8:00 EST, 7:00 CST – Top 3 of 12 advance
March 4 – Wednesday, 8:00 EST, 7:00 CST – Results
Each week during the live results shows airing Wednesdays, the three finalists with the highest number of America’s votes — one male, one female and the next top vote getter — will secure coveted spots in the Top 12.
WILD CARD ROUND:
March 5 – Thursday, 8:00 EST, 7:00 CST – Final chance for 3 to advance
New for Season 8, American Idol presents a special “Wild Card” episode featuring the judges’ favorite remaining contestants.
After each of the contestants performs, the judges will select the three final contestants who will round out the Top 12.

Idol has better talent this year than ever before. Hope they don’t keep too many retards in the top 10 for season 8 because that Sanjaya guy last year was simply nauseating.
