And there I thought smoking was bad for you! With the FDA knowing that diacetyl fumes caused numerous deaths and severe lung damage in microwave popcorn plant workers as far back as 2001, now comes proof that diacetyl poisons the lungs of anyone inhaling it on a regular basis.
