Lasers Targeting Planes – CNN video about a rash of incidents involving people with lasers targeting planes as they come in for landings at U.S. airports. The FBI is investigating 148 reports files since January 1, 2009 from pilots complaining of laser light reaching their cockpit during runway descent.
The problem is also widespread. On February 20, 2009 alone, pilot complaints about laser lights were recorded at airports in Salt Lake City, San Jose, New Orleans, Orlando, Burbank, and Odgen Utah.
And that’s the latest on the new aviation threat, lasers targeting planes.
